Pro Bowl rosters...

They have been released.  Braylon and Cribbs are the only Browns.  Somehow Jonathan Ogden was named over Joe Thomas.  Thomas, Winslow, Anderson and Stienbach all were left off.

K2 wuz robbed! Lots of Browns have legitimate beefs.

Congrats to JC and BrayBray.

Re: Pro Bowl rosters...
Absolutely ludicrous to name Jonathan Ogden over Joe Thomas.  I could blow past Ogden at this point.  It's just a popularity contest but I would have liked to see Joe Thomas get to go fishing in Hawaii.

Re: Pro Bowl rosters...
Don't worry, I saw somewhere, a lot of our guys are first/second alternates. So when the Brady/Manning types (and Ogden is hurt) decide not to go, they'll step right in.

Re: Pro Bowl rosters...
What a hose job but not entirely unexpected.

It seems that young, breakout players don't get the pro bowl nod until the the year AFTER their breakout year.

I wouldn't be suprised to see K2 and Thomas to get it next year even if they don't play as well this year.

Derrick Anderson is in a tough spot being in the AFC. He could play for us at a high level for another 8 years and never go to a Pro Bowl. As long as Brady and Manning are still in the AFC he will never get a Pro Bowl start.

Thomas is a rookie and should get it for sure next year. He plays at an unheralded position on a relatively (until this year) out of the spotlight tea,.

K2 and Steinbach not going is just total Horseshit, and I thing Steinbach will go next year, but K2 may be in Derrick Anderson's situation. He just ain't getting love until Gonzalas and Gates hang em up.

Also, how do Dawson's numbers stack up? Do they just take one kicker per conference? if so obv. Gostowski or Vinnitieri get the nod....

Re: Pro Bowl rosters...
Thomas and Steinbach have the biggest beefs.  I'd take Winslow over anyone, but Gates and Gonzalez are just as deserving.  Thomas had a way better year than Ogden, not even close.

Re: Pro Bowl rosters...
Thomas, Steinbach, Winslow and Anderson are first alternates.  Vickers is a second alternate and Dawson is a third alternate.

11 Cowboys, LOL, what a joke. Honestly though, I thought 4 including Stein and K2. They got ripped. Hopefully they get in as alternatives.

Re: Pro Bowl rosters...
I was going to get on here and rant that K2 should have been on there over Gonzalez. I then checked the numbers and saw that Gonzalez has been fantastic in the second half. I feel somewhat less indignant now.
At least I wasn't born in Denver

Re: Pro Bowl rosters...
Can I brag up my alma mater a little.  Three Kent State Golden Flashes are starting for the AFC in the Pro Bowl.  Josh Cribbs at KR, Antonio Gates at TE, and James Harrison at LB.  None were drafted, but they all made the Pro Bowl.  Go Flashes!

Re: Pro Bowl rosters...
Guys I guess we should be happy ANYONE got named! The Pro Bowl is at least 50% popularity contest. The teams with the biggest name recognition are going to send the most players. That means a plethora of Patriots, Cowboys, Steelers, ect....

We did get shafted on a few guys, namely, Steinbach, K2... but look at Jacksonville and Tampa Bay.... Neither one had ANY PLAYERS NAMED. Both of those teams are having years at the very least the equal of ours in terms of wins and chance to win it all in the postseason.

So it could be worse and as long as teams like Dallas or New England win, they will always send 10 + players to the Pro Bowl. Most people are dumb or just vote for the name they know rather than research things.

Go Browns and congrats to Cribbs and Edwards.
