DBN featured Prominently in ESPN Page 2 Piece

Congrats to many of the posters here as you were quoted in this piece by DJ Gallo on ESPN's Page 2.  You should all be getting your royalty checks soon.

The piece was pretty enjoyable but I'm not sure precisely what his point was, if he was trying to mock us or encourage us.  Maybe since he's such a devoted reader he'll let us know.

I should have been more reactionary. Maybe now I would be famous.
At least I wasn't born in Denver

I thought the best would be if someone were sarcastically reactionary (ie, Fire Wedge!) and that would have made it in.

Funny piece. I get to wear my Browns gear and strut around like King S*#T all week  and piss off all the Jets & Giants fans I work with

Re: DBN featured Prominently in ESPN Page 2 Piece
Heh...I never thought I'd have the honor of being featured on Page 2. My only regret is that while he mentioned the names of the writers from the Mistake by the Lake Blog, he never mentioned "Chris Pokorny" directly (he quoted me as being DawgsByNature.com). It would've been easier to show off more to some of my buddies had I gotten a name drop ;)

And yes, I think that it does mock some of us in a way. A good portion of the comments though were instantaneous reactions, rather than comments that were taking the time for analyzing. I've always looked at it this way: during a game, I pour my emotions into a quick little blurb, and then continue watching the game. This is where I might say something like "oh my god, another frickin' incompletion." After the game though, that's when it's appropriate to focus on commentary more so like this: "After several incompletions in a row, Anderson did a nice job adjusting to the coverages the defense threw at him."

Overall though, a nice article and a nice way to get some additional traffic over here :D

Is DJ Gallo a poet by day? What's up with the black turtleneck?

I don't take back what I said. I still think Crennel should have been fired last week.

I think that's a pretty dumb piece though -- "Sports fans get upset when team loses, film at 11!"

It's cool, though I came off as kind of a cock, I think. Oh well, doesn't matter what they say as long as they spell your name right, my pappy always said...
