It is really hard to say who is the main culprit that consistently undermines the Browns chances at success. At minimum the gold and silver winners are Braylon Edwards and Derek Anderson. With that said one wonders if the gold winner would catch half the passes he drops if the silver winner would not be put in the position he finds himself in. What a waste of talent Braylon is. He can get open with the best of them yet can't come through, DA seems to find the double-covered receiver (a quality needed to be a top quarterback) except he throws to that receiver, Both are the perfect example of consistently inconsistent. It is increasingly diffucult to watch as the defense gives the offense every chance to win and the offense lead by the aforementioned dismal duo go 3 and out and finally with an opportunity to do something hand the game to the opponent.
The bronze medal winner is the classic cigar-store figurine Romeo Crennel. Emotion is so infrequently displayed one wonders if he hasn't passed away in front of our eyes! Is he watching the game? Is he asleep? Is he in a coma? What will it take to give Brady a chance? Is there another receiver that can ctach the football? What's up Romeo? The season is officially over. The Browns could easily be 6-2, they are not. It is time to think about the futue. See if Brady can do something (assuming he doesn't rely on Braylon).
I bet the execs at ABC are thrilled that they put this team on prime-time 3 more times. What a waste of TV time. Maybe next year.....45 times and counting.
