Finally found a blurb where Braylon Edwards actually discussed his dropped passes from this year, which is tough considering he always seems to duck the media.
Pretty much says that he wishes he'd caught the ball but that any insinuation that he's all or even partly to blame for DA getting benched is ridiculous.
I had really high hopes for Braylon Edwards after last season but he just doens't seem to get it. Between doing calendars and planning for his post-NFL career in the off-season, it begs the question: did he actually run any routes and catch any passes to prepare for this year?
The biggest difference between this year and last year, obviously, is our passing game. And Braylon isn't alone as a reason why we've struggled. DA was inconsistent and sometimes awful, Kellen has been a shell of his former self, and not having Joe J and Stallworth has been killer. It's tough when Steptoe is your #2 receiver!
But it would nice for Braylon to be a leader and step up and take some responsibility. He likes to crow in front of the cameras when things are going well (i.e. after the giants game) where where is he when things are going wrong?
The Browns need leaders and play-makers. So far this season, Braylon Edwards has, for the most part, been neither.
