So tired......
I'm so tired of the "wait until next year" mentality. I'm tired of Crennel. I'm tired of Braylon's dropped balls. I'm tired of a ho-hum coaching staff. We are not a high school team that waits for "a good group of kids coming up in the next few years". Last time I checked, our Browns were professionals. Get a group of individuals into this club that will lead us to the playoffs. I believe the tide has turned by starting Quinn, getting individuals like Cribbs, Hayden, Rogers and even Jerivicius who actually want to win. Now get a coach that will! Move on Romeo... Spend the money and move Bill Cower back to Cleveland!!! GO BROWNS!

I am also tired…of unrealistic expectations.
2007: browns thought to be one of the worst in the league and about to give the cowboys a top 5 draft pick. but savage rebuilt the O line which led to the improvement everyone saw against a last place schedule. we had BQ drafted and should have been looking to 2009 as the year, but the record and the crap that is #3 convince everyone that we were ready a year early.
2008: savage had rebuilt the D line but no the LB’s which are crucial in a 3-4. this should have been thought of as the year to groom BQ, finally fire RAC, and get used to playing consistently good, but not necessarily winning football against a great schedule. unfortuantely, a bunch of guys got hurt and WE HAVE NO DEPTH. that’s what you are seeing right now with blown leads. we have the talent to start the games but not the depth to keep guys fresh. you can’t build talent AND depth in two offseasons.
2009: tucker, peek, robaire, JJ (maybe??), holly all back in the fold, beau bell starts at MLB and old willy is gone, drafting talented LB(s) to replace the other bum davis, BQ leading from day 1; a more resonable schedule and more reasonable expectations. all we need is a preseason without major injuries (i know, it’s cleveland).
If savage blows this draft and the browns aren’t really rolling by this time in 2009 i’ll be the first to admit they should blow it up (again). but just because we all wanted it to happen fast doesn’t mean it was likely.
