Put Art Modell in the HOF

Hey DBN! It's me, Rexx, your favorite Ravens' blogger. Perhaps you can put your hatred of me and my Ravens aside for a moment and focus it instead on the former Ravens and Browns owner, Art Modell, who is once again a nominee for the Pro Football Hall of Fame. It is a pretty big topic here in Baltimore this week, as the list of 25 nominees has to be cut to 15 (plus two veterans) by the end of the week. I've posted a story on my blog and you can click here to see it in its entirety and even post your hateful (or not) comments to give the Baltimore fans a different perspective on your city's feelings about a man that Baltimore adores.

Thanks for taking the time to read this and now you can go back to hating me, my fellow posters at Baltimore Beatdown, and of course, my 8-4 Baltimore Ravens!

Why do we continue to let this guy come here and try to start fights. That’s all he does; he never has anything intelligent to add to our discussions. Can we please ban this guy already? We’ve all had enough of him.

I don't think he's starting a fight

It’s a hot topic and he wants hear an opposing viewpoint, not sure how that is considered starting a fight.

I’d be interested to know if anyone in Cleveland thinks Art should be in the hall based on his accomplishments, putting aside your understood hatred for him. I believe that he has contributed so much to the NFL (played a leading role in minority hiring, the merger, MNF, and other TV enhancements over the years…) that he’s a no brainer (yes, I’m a Ravens fan). If moving a team is grounds to be restricted from the HOF, then why is Al Davis in?

Besides the fact that most of our users have not had Rexx’s comments sit well with them, we’ve already had quite a bit of discussion about why Cleveland fans hate Art Modell; going over it again would seem like a rehashment, and would be bound to inciting more problems.
