Ask Music City Miracles
Hello Browns' fans,
I am Jimmy from Music City Miracles here to answer all of your questions about my Tennessee Titans. This is a much different game than most of us thought it would be when the schedule was first announced, but I don't think the Titans will take the Browns for granted.
Anyway, leave any questions you have about the Titans below. I or one of the astute readers of the site will do our best to answer it.

What are your thoughts on how the tiebreaker for the playoffs worked last year? Are you in the them’s the schedule breaks camp? or do you feel a little bit guilty about the Colts gift-wrapping your last W

Haha, I didn’t mean to be a jerk, but in retrospect that was a rude comment. I have other Titans questions ready as well

I'll answer until Jimmy can get here......
I’m in the camp that most Titans fans are in. We were happy to be in the playoffs but we felt like we backed our way in and would rather have not won that way. The Colts definitely put a big red bow on that one for us. Made me sick.
I hope Tony Dungy doesn’t expect the Titans to return the favor this year. Fisher isn’t resting anyone……..

I’ve argued at times that WRs are not a very important position to field a successful football team and I often highlight the Titans and Lions as my prime examples of this. What is it that allows the Titans offense to be successful despite one of the worst receiving cores in the league? Is it stellar line play, really good RBs, playcalling, etc?
by Roger Dorn on Dec 4, 2008 11:02 AM EST reply actions 0 recs
A combination of stellar line play
and really good RBs. The Titans have one of the best offensive lines in the NFL and Chris Johnson is one of the most explosive players in the NFL. That is the combination the Titans are riding this year. It also helps to have a QB who takes care of the ball..

Lions? As in they picked too many, and still aren’t any good on O, right?

Who would win a pie eating contest, Haynesworth or Shaun Rogers?
Only kidding. Sorta..
If you could add a Browns player to your roster, based on 2008 performance, who would would you add?

I asked a similar question to maryrose from BTSC when he posted the story of Quinn’s season being over.
It’s a good question that I’d like to hear answered by each of our upcoming opponents, both before and after the game, if possible.

That's a pretty easy question as a Titans fan
I’d have to say Braylon. That guy will be a stud in this league for a long time. Good question too! I like that. I’d pose the same back to you guys.

I’ll say the same thing I did to the Texans guy who felt the same way:
You obviously haven’t seen him play much this year.

I really hope so too. Given everything else that’s happened, I know we shouldn’t have to expect to tell a guy how to catch a ball at this point, but it looks to me like Braylon just isn’t coached well.

But to answer back the question: If we didn’t have Big Joe Thomas, Michael Roos might be the one. If the Browns move to a 4-3 next year, give me Vanden Bosch. Anybody would be silly to turn down the opportunity to have Chris Johnson, so he’d be the guy with the most “absolute value”, I think.
So if I’d have to pick one, Chris Johnson’s the easy answer. Although I hear VY carries a mean clipboard.

I’d take Haynesworth even though we have a really solid d tackle on our own. The prospect of lining up Rogers and Haynesworth next to each other has me foaming at the mouth. How do you run on that?
by Roger Dorn on Dec 5, 2008 12:31 AM EST up reply actions 0 recs
Can you imagine those two on the same defensive line, and line backers that actually played aggressively? They don’t have to be top flight LBs.. just someone with some fight in them.

It's easily Braylon for us
I know he drops A LOT of passes, but he has big play potential. That does not exist among the Titans’ receivers.

He does have big play potential. He’d flourish if he were coached properly. You shouldn’t have to hold a guys hand at this level, or teach him how to catch, but I refuse to believe something isn’t wrong after the spectacular catches he had just a season ago.

1. Will you vote for Shaun Rogers for the Pro Bowl this year? It would be awfully easy to check his name off when you are already there to vote for Haynesworth. I have seen Kris Jenkins this year, and he wasn’t close to Rogers’ level. Can’t think of many others more worthy.
2. How is the whole Vince Young thing going?
3. How much of a boost do you think the guy who runs the fastest 40 time at the combine gets solely because of Chris Johnson?
by rufio on Dec 5, 2008 3:05 AM EST reply actions 0 recs
I honestly haven't even voted yet
but it would be between Rogers and Jenkins for the other spot.
VY is still just watching and will be for the rest of the season. He will probably do that again next year barring a Collins collapse to end the season,
I depends on how fast the time is. I doubt you will see anyone run a 4.24 this year.

So you think Young will still be around next year? I don’t know anything about his contract situation, but if they sign Collins do you think they would look to trade him at all? I don’t think he’d be too happy next season if he didn’t even get a chance to start.
The best thing probably is to hit [Grady] 2nd -- Jay

Can't offload VY
Cap hit would be too significant.

Titans rushing offense this week – 300 yards. Take the over or under?
by woodsmeister on Dec 5, 2008 3:29 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
I'd take the under
I’d say we’re at 250 :)

Although there are several reasons, would you be able to pinpoint the most significant that has led to the Titans remarkable regular season?
I also want to say I will give you my first born if you could somehow influence Jeff Fisher to leave the Titans to lead the Browns next year.

Taking care of the football
Kerry Collins has come in and taken care of the ball. This team is built on playing defense and running the football. Field position is one of the biggest keys to winning when you play that style and taking care of the ball helps the Titans from getting any many spots where they don’t have good field position.
