Joe Thomas
Joe Thomas making the Pro Bowl was a pretty special feat, when thinking about all the years and years of failures we have witnessed on the Browns OL.
And to top it off, it was a rookie.
Has that ever been done before? A rookie LT making the ProBowl? I am sure it has but does anyone have these stats?
Each year we hear how special a player is IF they can play the LT spot well to protect the QB's blindspot. I am trying to prove a point to a BUCKING FANGLES fan who keeps telling me that Levi Jones is a better Tackle than Joe Thomas..............
GOD I HATE THE BENGALS.

I can’t find a specific list of everybody, but the best way to check IMO is to check each year’s draft on Wikipedia. In each year’s draft page, they highlight (in yellow) every player that has made the Pro Bowl at some point in their career. Look for left tackles, then click their profiles and see if their Pro Bowl came in their rookie season.
I knew this one off the top of my head, but I checked just to make sure. Chargers left tackle Marcus McNeill actually made the Pro Bowl as a rookie in 2006, just a year before Joe Thomas was named to it. In this decade, they appear to be the only two rookie left tackles to make the Pro Bowl. Beyond that, I stopped checking.
Levi is a nice left tackle for the Bengals—he’s not the one that caused them major issues last season. He’s never warranted a Pro Bowl appearance though, and from what I saw, Joe Thomas showed a lot more potential in his rookie season than most left tackles in the NFL. I’d say your Bengals friend would have to be more stubborn about his assessment rather than whole-heartedly serious about it (tough to avoid biased talk when you’re a fan).

I think Doug Dekien did as a rookie in the 70’s.
Whose the best all-time special teamer in NFL history? It's JOSH CRIBBS!

Joe Thomas is in the Hall of Fame! Not yet, of course, but he is part of the Pro Bowl mural posted on the walls of the Hall of Fame. I took a few people over there today and when I saw it, I had to step back and take it in for a second.
Haha, you didn’t happen to get a snapshot of it, did you?

The Hall of Fame is the coolest fucking place on earth.
I was in Indianapolis once for business and went way the hell out of my way to make a pilgrimage there. Didn’t regret it.
