Browns To Debut Brown Pants As Part of Uniform Tonight

For the first time in Browns history, the uniform pants tonight won't be white or orange, but rather Brown. The Browns applied for this in 2006, but haven't used them since. According to the article, they will be plain brown with no markings, matching the brown uniform socks as well. Fans will get their say on the new look on the Browns main website in a poll starting tonight. I was talking with a friend about this who threw an absolute fit about it. Me, I'm looking forward to something a little different, at least.

Brown pants might look good with the white tops. I’m not sure if “plain brown with no markings” means no stripes, but I think white and orange stripes would look good on the brown pants.

I would hope they never wear the brown pants with their brown jereseys. I know that is the trend now, to have the tops and pants of the same color, but I think that all brown would look awful.

I actually think it would look better with no stripes. just my opinion though. I wanna see orange jerseys again! those are my favorite by far. I also love the Brown tops.It seems we wear white tops way too often.

I have a tidbit in the gamethread I made last night (set to autopost at noon EST).

I agree Brad on the Brown on Brown…I wouldn’t like to see that (though I have created a cool-looking orange top + orange bottom combo on Madden before).

Over at the OBR, a lot of fans seemed to get a little too worked up about this. The front office typically listens to the fans, and they basically stated that they wanted to see how the reception was towards the uniforms following the game. Nothing wrong with a little trial and error in the preseason every now and then…
