Browns to Unveil New Alternate Jerseys Tonight

The Browns Official site announced yesterday (http://www.clevelandbrowns.com/article.php?id=8699) that the Browns will be wearing plain brown pants with the brown socks for tonight preseason game. The Browns official site will have a feedback poll asking the fans what they thought of the new jerseys.

This annoucement shocked me, because during the Browns offseason, during one of my many "Browns daydreaming spells", I thought about how brown jersey pants would look. Personally, I think it might look kinda cool, but I think it might look a little weird with brown socks as well. However, it'd probably look even weirderr with striped socks! I think a new alternate uniform will look cool, as long as they only wear it once or twice a year, including the preseason.

I could have sworn I recalled brown pants in the 80s, but I must be remembering the brown jerseys with the white pants. I always liked the Sipe era brown jerseys and orange pants look too.

You probably missed it kk2007, but a few hours ago, Funadmentals posted a fanshot about this already. Since two people have given their opinion in this thread though, I’ll leave it open for the time being…

hehe…and I could’ve saved all the trouble by posting something when I saw it last night. Technically I did put a blurb in last night when I pre-wrote the gamethread, but that didn’t autopost until noon.

FYI, on LGT Jay/Ryan will close comments on the 2nd identical post with a link to the original post. Then the duplicate is usually removed a day later.

One point of feedback however. On the main page I can see all of the FanPosts and the FanShots. However, if I am looking at a FanPost, I cannot see the list of FanShots. I have to “back” to the Main Page. Even when I go into a FanShot, all I can see is the other FanPosts, not the FanShots.

This could indirectly lead to multiple postings as well.

Yeah, FanShots are hard to find because you always have to go back to the main page.

Also, on LGT the FanShots are on the left of the front page near the top, so they’re easier to find. Here you have to scroll down quite far to see them, and I’ll bet a lot of new users don’t. I don’t know if you can move things around on the site, but I would suggest moving the FanShots to the left of the page.
