Paul Ernster
Punter Paul "Shankster" Ernster has signed with the Pittsburgh Steelers, reported the Plain Dealer in Sunday's paper. Regular starting punter, Daniel Sepulveda, tore his ACl in training camp and will be out for the season. When asked about his new team, Ernster replied, "I've always been a fan of this team. I'm really excited to be on it."
No wonder he shanked his first Punt against the Steelers; he probably wanted them to score a touchdown!

Let's hope that he shanks a punt against us this year!
Go Dawgs!

I couldn’t wait to see him leave after how horrible he was Week 1. Granted, he had just signed with the Browns a few days earlier, but I’m sure it doesn’t take that much chemistry for a veteran punter to get a few kicks off.
He didn’t really shank the first punt; he let the ball slip right through his hands, then picked it back up and barely got a 15-yard boot. He did have several other below-average punts during the game too…
He’ll have a lot more time to work with the Steelers before playing than he did with the Browns, but hopefully this benefits Cribbs and our special teams unit (not like we needed help on special teams against them last year though…).
Dawgs By Nature - Find out why Pittsburgh still sucks.
