Talk of Backup RB
I personally believe that Jerome Harrison will take over the backup role in cleveland. He is the PERFECT change of pace back we need. Jason wright just does not have that "swagger" that a good running back needs. I dont see that FIRE when he on the field. Harrison runs with passion, now he just has to learn to block with that same passion. But due to Jamal taking Harrison under his wing (harrison trains with him in the offseason) I believe this is Jamal seeing more in him. My prediction is Harrison the #2 back by the third game.

Swagger, fire, and passion. Sort of the Derek Jeter of NFL third-down running backs, hm?
Romeo Crennel and Phil Savage are both all over the record saying they like Jason Wright as the backup and he’s a great teammate in the locker room. Additionally, Harrison does not have the size to run the ball 20 times a game. He will never be a starting running back in the NFL. Because of that, he won’t be the back-up. He’s a pass catcher and change of pace guy at best.
Think Dominic Rhodes. Sorry, dude.
I’m ready for my Harrison highlights in the preseason.
If history holds true, it’ll be his only highlights all year (no need to repeat my sentiment towards Harrison for the zillionth time, but if you’re a new reader, search the site for “jerome harrison” and “man crush”).

I probably feel the same way you do.
Here’s to Harrison breaking some 3rd string ankles in the preseason.
Now Chris, its bad form to create alternate accounts to post your Harrison fanboygasms.
Victorious warriors win first and then go to war, while defeated warriors go to war first and then seek to win.

I always remember Harrison doing good when given the chance(preseason or regular season), but never gets a 2nd chance to do the same.
There is no shortage of Harrison lovers on this site.
Basically it comes down to Jerome blocking on ST. I will certainly be watching the ST units tonight and looking for #35.
From what I saw at Family Night, as well as the two times I’ve gone to training camp, it looks like Harrison is the back-up running back. Wright is still the 3rd down back, but when the 2s were on the field, its been Harrison pretty consistently running with that unit. He looked good in his opportunities last year (6.2 ypc) and deserves to be active weekly this year, if nothing else.
