100 mil. in the toilet
The money cleveland spent on the D line was a waste. The guys up front are not getting pressure on the QB to help out the secondary. Every game this year I have seen the other teams QB have 5 or more seconds in the pocket that's rediculous. being the market size we are we dont have that kind of money to throw around and not get an imediate return on the investment. On another note what has happend to our Offensive line this year its like they've got paid and they're done theres no protection up front.I know steinbauch is injured but there is more to the line then him there not just getting beat they are getting blown up on the line. they cant stop the blitzes either. Derek is gun shy now and rushes his passes and i cant have that because i have braylon on my fantasy team and the points are not rolling in like last year. :) man what a frustrating start to the season I hope they can turn it around. Its already hard enough to be a Cleveland fan of any sport but especially the Browns all the hype going into this year and the balloon is slowly deflating.Going back to thirty3's post 10 days ago its gonna take a real loyal fan to keep putting up with this crap.

I don’t think it’s a problem with the lineman we got. It’s an issue with the 3-4 defense as a whole.
Blaming their failures on the d-line right now should be just above blaming the black cat that spends its waking hours walking circles around the Cleveland teams’ facilities. I’d like to see game charts thus far, but from what I’ve seen, teams are not running up the gut against the Browns. And when the QB has all day to throw, it’s because the play called was to rush 3 against 6, which will always result in having time for tea before throwing the ball.
I’m looking at the offense right now. They’re more responsible for the 28 points given up than the defense is.
You know Selig? Ombudsman.
It’s definately the offense that is the problem. The defense was great against the Steelers, and most of the points the Ravens scored can be blamed on turnovers by the offense.
It’s obvious: we need Brady in there. I’m not one to usually call for the backup every time there’s a problem, but it’s obvious that DA has hit his ceiling as a QB. Teams have figured him out, and he cannot beat teams with a good defense.

With the salary cap in football and Lerner’s deep pockets, I don’t think the Cleveland market has much impact on the Browns ability to afford certain things. No team in the NFL comes close to operating at a loss, especially with the revenue sharing from the exorbitant television deals. Your concerns about the defense, though, are valid, but I am more concerned with the offense at the moment
