Steelers vs. Ravens - Who Ya Got?
Could it truly be much worse for a Browns fan than to know that one of these two hated teams will be playing in the Super Bowl while we don't even have a general manager and are working on Version 4.0 of Browns 2.0?
Really, there's so much to dislike about both franchises. Here are a few to start -
- Art Modell
- Terrible Towels
- Cheap-shotting punk Hines Ward
- Ray "I'm lucky I'm not in jail" Lewis
So, who do you root for in a battle of our two most-hated rivals? And why?

Great poll.
However, I can’t root for either, and as much as I dislike the players, I only root for injuries in the case of Art Modell.
If you included the option “Who cares? Rooting for NFC to win the Super Bowl”, I’d vote for that, along with probably about 85% of the rest of the readership.

I’m with rolub on this one.
Although rooting for the Cardinals would be extremely difficult. For one, they are one of the franchises never to make the Super Bowl (like us), and they’d get rolled by either the Ravens or Steeleres IMO.
The Eagles at least would have a decent chance of winning that matchup.

I picked “rooting for injuries.” I’m that petty.

I did too, but not because I actually want injuries…I just can’t bring myself to root for either team.

If you’re trying to root for the Ravens and can’t bring yourself to do it, just keep thinking about OJ Brigance. No-one can hate this OJ, it’s just not possible.

He’s on the Ravens, right? Yeah, I hate him. It’s not personal, it’s business.

meh… it’s not his fault you lost your team for three years. Hell, he was playing football in Baltimore before that happened.

I know that. He’s associated with the Baltimore Ravens, therefore, he is the enemy.

You might as well give up all the Ravens PR on this board, dude. Nobody here is buying it. You might have Gandhi in your front office, but it doesn’t matter. You (and I’m speaking collectively here, because your government was complicit) stole our team. We hate you. Whether we hate you worse than the Steelers is an open question, but anyone who works for the Ravens is complicit, even Ozzie.

I’m rooting for a good football game. I may as well see some good NFL football played this season. The Ravens receiving six points is intriguing to the gambling part of me. That seems like a nice deal.

I’m surprised the early action has been on Pittsburgh. I might be tempted if it reaches 7, but very doubtful it will.
Unless the Super Bowl winds up being a very public PHI vs. PIT, i’m probably done for the season except for a token prop bet or two on the big one.

I can’t root for someone to get hurt, however how about a 4 overtime game, a lot of nagging injuries, sprained ankles, hamstring pulls, mild concussions etc… and the NFC rolls in the Super Bowl,
Freaking Ravens and Steelers, I am sick.

I’m overwrought with ambivalence over the whole thing.
My son asked me last week who I wanted to win the Super Bowl. I told him, “The Browns.”
I think he got my point.
