Man-genius tears down mural
Have we discussed this yet? I think it's idiotic on Mangini's part.

I would like to hear what he plans on giving as his reasons for that, but I am skeptical at this point.

My gut instinct: good move. Why ride coattails of decades past? Forget history. Let’s start fresh and generate new legends and teams to care about. This is a badass, bold statement. That, and nostalgia is way overrated.

Yeah, screw history! We’ll do whatever we want with no regard to what’s happened in the past!
Hey, maybe the US should invade Russia during the dead of winter!

Huge difference between repeating history and removing a painting of history

Nah. Browns probably could stand to not pat themselves on the back and act like the recent expansion team that they are. Let’s get some results, people.

There is video up on Clevelandbrowns.com of today’s Mangenius press conference. Good news for everyone throwing a hissy fit! He took it down so that they could redo the building and then he is placing the mural in a more prominent location in the front of the building

Pluto’s article is also well worth the read over there as usual.
Mangini also said that he simply missed Rogers and didn’t mean to ignore him, praised him for being a great player, and said that hopefully Kris Jenkins will talk to Rogers about playing for Mangini. Jenkins has publicly said that Mangini should not have been fired.
Additionally, Mangini said he was very impressed with D’Qwell Jackson after watching him on tape. I tend to agree with most Browns fans who think Jackson would look alot better next to a fast LB (instead of Andra Davis). Then again, leading the NFL in tackles has to mean something, right?

I originally misread your line and thougt it said “said that hopefully ROGERS will talk to JENKINS about playing for Mangini”- as in, getting Jenkins to come to Cleveland. My mouth watered at the thought of a D-Line with those two.
