Apparently, Adam Schefter Can't Wait Till Wednesday
Schefter and sources seem to think that Quinn will start against the Ravens Monday, announcing this a day before Mangini is preparing to announce his decision.
Personally, I'd rather wait till the Lions, the Ravens might be a hard game to shove Quinn back into. I also hope he's been getting some good chemistry in practice if he is starting. I think it's ironic he was pulled the first Ravens game only to possibly start the second. Mangini loves drama.
Don't get in my face about this being a fanpost. It's more noticeable up here.

I don’t think after what has happened this year there will be any good game to get him back into it. Obviously against the Ravens is even worse. But think of it this way, if he can have a good game this will do wonders for his confidence. If not, I can’t really see how he would feel any worse than being yanked and then not put back in after his replacement did so horribly.
You could’ve said this line after any said Browns game after the Bills…

i think people are giving the ravens D too much credit, this isn’t the same defense as the last couple seasons.
well yeah, but i think that had more to do with quinn than the ravens D

The reporting leading up to this decision has been deplorable.
The quotes are out of context, they name unnamed players as reliable sources. There was too much to refute.
I expect Randy Lerner to negate this.
You don´t reward failure. He has had significant opportunities to show his caliber. Brady Quinn is not the heir apparent. Brett Ratliff deserves to start.
Give it a few weeks, Moon. There’s still time.

of course quinn is starting
we no longer have to pay him the 10 million dollars for playing 70% of the time…..
11 mill. and I would have wanted to pay him that if he proved he was worth it. And you have no clue if he’ll be under 70% of snaps or not. The NFL isn’t a numbers game. You can’t automatically expect so many snaps per game.

Your are misinformed. The escalators had nothing to do with Quinn sitting the bench. That rumor stems from aggravation on the boards.
I think Eric Mangini has decided to get his money´s worth and will play both players half of the season.
This isn´t about either getting to earn the job. They are goners in Cleveland, and are merely going through the motions, until we get our new quarterback.
are you saying switching now has nothing to do with DA’s performance, but rather with mangini wanting to split the time evenly?
Switching now has everything to do with the fans wanting to look gracious towards the kid. Derek Anderson has done what it takes for Clevelanders to let a former commodity go, that is make a total frigging fool out of himself.
Eric Mangini is giving them what they want, more travesty.

But fact is, we´re losing. And there´s not much entertainment in losing.

in theory, i agree that this season’s performance by DA closes the door on him, and the fans have lost any hope in him. however, i can’t see mangini making any of these moves based on fan reaction.
Good point. It probably is based on a cold logical conclusion, such as getting his money´s worth by equally splitting playing time between them, until we get our future quarterback.
I´m just perturbed. How often do they have to fail, before they are considered tradable.

the reason i don’t think they’re tradeable now is that we couldn’t possibly gain from trading them. first, neither would get us much right now; second, anything they would get us wouldn’t be of much use to the team right now. no one would give us a player better than either one of them, and low draft picks aren’t worth thinking about now.
