Around SBN: Interview With UMD Athletic Director, Dr. Debbie Yow

Amongst all the coach bashing, practice ridiculing, back and forth, and negative everything surrounding this team, J. Cribbs' gesture is something to admire.

This obviously doesn’t translate into anything on the field, but it feels really good to read something positive about this team.

A nice gesture by Cribbs. A good reason to cheer tonight.

I really, REALLY hope Cribbs never leaves Cleveland, be it trade or otherwise.

Unless we can get a good everydown player for him.

Not worth it.

You wouldn’t trade him straight up for, say, Chris Johnson?

I’ll answer any realistic trade possibilities. Well, we can save some time, I’d personally be against 100% of actual potential trades for Cribbs. No team is willing to give up what he is really worth.

What’s he worth? Chris Johnson? No. An above average Running back? Maybe.

Chris Johnson is a top 3 back in the entire league (and only in his second year), so no, not even close. An above average running back? Your Ray Rice types… yeah, no team would give that up either. The only realistic trade in my eyes is a 3rd and 4th round pick, but IMO he’s worth a 1st, 2nd and 3rd.

He also has an outrageous amount of “sentimental” value. That alone is priceless, IMO. He is that “last straw” player for me, at this point, if he were gone (by trade), I might actually consider giving up on the team.

I only hope that will never ever happen.
