Week 12 Power Rankings - Hooray For Moral Victories!

32 - ESPN.com

The loss at Detroit marked another defeat, but the Browns' offense at least showed a pulse.

32 - Fanhouse.com

At every Thanksgiving table, there's one person whose presence you just can't stomach and whose every utterance has you rolling your eyes. That seems like a negative until you realize that you make fun of that person, tell stories about them and otherwise relive the experience all year because it winds up making you feel better about yourself. The Browns are the football version of that person, which is reason enough to be thankful for their existence.

32 - FOXsports.com

The team's QBs had combined for three TDs all season long before Brady Quinn threw a trio in the first quarter at Detroit. The Browns score 24 in the first quarter after getting only 23 points in their previous four games combined.

32 - CBSsports.com

The good news is Brady Quinn is looking better. The bad news is the defense regressed. They have a long way to go to being able to compete for a playoff spot.

32 - Yahoo!sports.com

Hey, did you hear Brady Quinn threw four TD passes?

32 - BleacherReport.com

The Browns suffered a heart-breaker in finding a shockingly new way to lose an NFL game. A pass interference penalty on a "Hail Mary" pass was followed by an untimed down for a Detroit TD on the last play of the game; that really was a tough way to go out in Week 11. Bengals, Chargers, Steelers is a tough stretch for Cleveland as we head into December.

And Browns fans, at least Eric Mangini will probably get fired after this season, right?

Must be part of that good ole ‘process’ again huh, Eric. Being a national joke on the field, in the front office, and in the coaching booth. Other than that, we’re looking pretty solid.

At least we’re not whining to the press after losing to a one win team about cheating.

Oh. Wait. Strike that last one.

It would be better to go off of an unabridged dictionary.

Neither are in my unabridged dictionary.

dammit has been used at least back to 1938:
http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/dammit

its simply a contraction that alters the original word, much like “won’t” is a contraction of “will not”

languages change and words are added. if you’ve never seen the word dammit spelled that way you haven’t read much literature, or you have a selective memory.

Dude, I don´t think you realize, they mean Browns fan representation, the distillated willpower of Browns constituents. He means their view of football is an amusement factor at the annual dinner-table discussion, and tata see you next year, good luck with that.

What if we somehow beat Cinci on Sun. Let’s say, 21 – 14, where would the pundits rank us afterwards? I think no higher than 30, personally.

Being a Browns fan isn't always fun but somebody's gotta do it

I think the Bengals losing to the Raiders was the worst possible thing for us.

No way the Bengals lay another egg.

If thoughts were cotton candy, I would eat that up.

Losing to the Detroit Lions is the opposite of a moral victory.

Especially the way we lost to them.

At least we’re consistent.

The Great Mangini won’t get fired after the season.

If you're at the table and you don't see a sucker..... you're it.

How many times have we seen the Browns show ‘potential’ in one game and lay an egg the very next week?
I think this next game is absolutely huge for Mangini, Quinn, and the Browns. If they lose big things could spiral out of control for the remainder of the season…even more than they have been, and Mangini can’t come back to Lerner at the conclusion of the season talking about the progress they made over the second half.

If that happens I think there is a significant possibility of Mangini being fired, although I do think there’s also a significant possibility Lerner has already decided he’s committed to Mangini regardless of the outcomes.
