LB Lou Saban Passes Away

PrintFormer Cleveland Browns LB Lou Saban passed away Sunday morning at the age of 87.
Saban played college football at Indiana University and for the Browns 1946-49 when they were in the All-America Football Conference.

the Alabama blog talks a bit more about it
apparently this guy was a real interesting part of sports history, head coaching several AFL teams and even becoming at one point president of teh New York Yankees. Apparently he is responsible for being the first man to give a black quarterback a real chance in the modern NFL to succeed.
