Close to "Championship-Level Team"!
Crabtree also enjoyed the time he spent with Browns coach Eric Mangini.
"He's a great coach in this league with a lot of experience and I'd be excited to play for him," said Crabtree. "My visit to Cleveland was great. I was excited by the organization and the facilities. It would be fun to play there and I think they're close to a championship-level team."

He’s right. Pittsburgh is only a few hours’ drive from Cleveland, so I guess that qualifies as “close.” Now, if he was talking about the Browns….then hmmm.

Ouch!
I’m going to assume that he was referring to the 2009 NBA Champion Cavaliers who play just a few blocks from Browns Stadium. That’s much closer than Pittsburgh.

Uhhh….you know we’re joking, right?
Did you actually think I thought he was talking about the Cavs? I sure hope not.

I know u were joking. I was just saying that we are closing to being good than teams like the Chiefs, the seahawks, lions, rams, bengals, raiders, jags, and 9ers

Well, yeah, but that’s not what he said. Look, I’m all in favor of a player showing enthusiasm for a particular team, especially if it’s the Browns. And I’ve been warming considerably toward Crabtree in the last couple of weeks. But if he really thinks they’re close to being a championship team then he doesn’t understand the NFL very well, or the Mangini has already managed to resurrect the team. I’ll vote for the latter, but still take a wait-and-see.
