Wow...Brett Favre to Face Browns in Week 1
I still love Brett Favre, but I can't believe this guy. After all of the mumbo-jumbo again, Favre has signed with the Minnesota Vikings. He is scheduled to play in their preseason game this week, and will undoubtedly beat out Tavaris Jackson and Sage Rosenfels to be the team's Week 1 starter against the Cleveland Browns.

It wouldn’t surprise me, but probably not because it looks like FOX has that slot dedicated to the Giants vs. Redskins.
Instead of FOX’s Z announcers though, maybe we’ll get their B announcers.

Man i was wishing Mangini was going to try to pull a few strings. They say the gunslinger looked like he did in his hay day, but he’s only been playing with high school players
Are you kidding? You wanted Favre on the Browns? Despite the fact that he would have never come here — why? This team needs a young QB to build a team around, not an old guy on his last leg

favre would have been frustrated in cleveland by week 3. he is the last thing this team needs. we’re struggling with stability at QB already, we don’t need a third guy in the mix that might poop out with a bum shoulder. the best thing favre could be for the browns is a QB coach. he had that chance and didn’t want it.
but we already have brett ratliff…who i thought mangini preferred to favre last year???

I’m looking forward to the Vikings starting off 2-6 and Favre quit…, I mean, “retiring” mid-season due to shoulder fatigue.
You are reading my signature.
They will be without both DTs in week 1 and it will be Favre’s first game in the new offense after being terrible down the stretch last year. We can definitely win that game
Granted, they probably will be suspended, but they haven’t been suspended yet, right?

I’m not saying we can’t. I just think a prediction of a 2-6 start for the Vikings is pretty unrealistic.
Mangini should no about Favre’s weaknesses.
" Of course Steroids should be allowed! I wanna see 700 foot home runs and 90 yard field goals! I litterally want to see someone's d**k get shoved in the dirt!"

But he hasn’t played like one in a two years. That’s what annoys me about all the “future Hall of Famer” accolades. He’s not a Hall of Fame caliber QB right now, not even close.

This technically doesn’t count as cursing:
- Brett Favre in the mouth. That attention * needs to crawl into a cold, dank corner and quietly die a death as agonizing as four years of 96/7 ESPN speculation.
Metaphorically speaking, of course.
If he wants to play, then why cant he?

Then he shouldn’t have retired, or taken so long to come back, or announced three weeks ago that he wasn’t coming back. It’s the drama associated with him that makes everyone upset.

This is sad. I was really hoping we could extend an offer for thee old player/coach designation. Now he´s in Minnesota to mentor Sage Rosenfels. The purple looks weird on him, but why not. If he´s still p.o.´d at Green Bay he can enter the Hall Of Fame as a Viking.
Players don’t enter the NFL Hall of Fame with a certain team. They get a bust but there is no team affiliation with them. It’s not like baseball where the player wears a team hat.

Actually there is. If you look for them in the hall records, they’re under some team. The hall usually categorizes them with the team they were with the longest or had the most production with. That’s why the Browns have a certain number in, the Steelers, etc…
