More fun in the Browns locker room
ESPN is reporting that Coye Francies went nuts in the Browns locker room today becase he was upset about being the subject of a prank. He threw a bucket of ice on Brandon McDonald and then started throwing punches. Braylon Edwards shouted "welcome to the Browns locker room" as the commotion happened.
And this year just keeps getting better . . .

Awesome. I raised this question in another thread. If this team gets its tail kicked again on Sunday, this team reeks of quitting.

I actually am not bothered one bit by this story.

I think the quote by Braylon says a lot — this seems like a team in disorder. I don’t mind occasional altercations between teammates, but this didn’t happen on the practice field in the heat of playing football when most things like this happen. This team just seems to be in disarray.

Actually the reason it doesn’t bother me is that it’s not like it is going to make us lose more games. We are already winless.

I am with Brad. The fact that this happened in front of the media just shows that these players don’t understand how to keep things in house. I am sure that every team has players that don’t like each other. Other teams don’t have fist fights with one another while the media watches.
And it seems like Braylon isn’t one bit suprised that his team mates were fighting. We are going to get our asses kicked on Sunday, and this team doesn’t really seem to care. Bad football and a bad locker room, when did we become the Raiders?

Was Braylon smiling when he said it? Laughing? Was he solemn or angry? Context means everything, and none of the articles I’ve read provide any context. They all either say that he ‘said’ what he said or that he ‘hollered’.

How could that be positive? It was a negative comment about the make-up of the locker room. This locker room is falling apart.

Right. You don’t make a comment like that as a joke.

Well, it’s not a great sign, but there is a big difference between him saying that in complete seriousness and him saying it as a sick joke. And actually, some people do joke that way. It’s stress relief and black humor, as often deployed in challenging work environments. The fact that there’s some stress in the Browns’ locker room surprises who, exactly?
As always, if they get a couple of good showings behind them this will fade, and if they don’t it’ll get worse. Big news, eh?
