Glazer tweets Browns trade Jerome Harrison for Mike Bell
Props to Dorn for calling it in the Colt McCoy post.
Trading for another RB simply means it was a personal, not personnel, issue.

Not necessarily. Bell is a power back. Harrison a pass catching finesse back. Looks to me like we’re all in on the power running game.

They’ve got to win me over on this one. Seems like Hillis is an “everything you can do, I can do better” version of Mike Bell.

Right.
So basically we got serviceable backup to Hillis. Better than what we had in Harrison.

We shall see. In Harrison we had a guy once capable of 286 yards and 3 TDs in one game. He was obviously far from that this season, but I’m entirely sure he’ll never get back there.
Still, it’s not that I’m opposed to dealing Harrison, I just don’t think Mike Bell is worth it. I’d rather have picks, or back of similar caliber and potential.
I’m going to predict that Harrison finishes with a better career than Bell.

Harrison is 27. That we’re still talking about his potential says a lot.

Also, while I like gathering picks, the slow bloated version of Harrison we’ve seen all year wasn’t going to score us anything more than a 6th rounder.

Mike Bell is 27 too, and still has less potential…
Again, I’m not against a Harrison trade, I’d have just like a better one.
Right now I feel as though we don’t benefit as much as the Eagles in this deal. Would have rather had something else.

In Harrison we had a guy once capable of 286 yards and 3 TDs in one game
and then 3.8 yards per carry the next 2 games against very average defense. What’s your point? he had one spectacular game against a terrible defense?
He hasn’t been that impressive as a feature back or as a key back in a RB rotation.
Harrison is a tease. He teased us against Cincy, then went back to sucking against a buffalo team that was almost as bad as KC. He tore it up against KC, then was pedestrian the next 2 games and didn’t break a 20 yard run in either. In ’08 he provides a spark against Buffalo, then does nothing the rest of the year when they give him the ball.

Intensive Purposes? I could care less...
your whole argument is a fallacy!

Give me a break. He had 8 carries against Buffalo.

and he had 16 this year against KC and sucked.
And is 8 not enough of a chance to see what he can do? he has produced electifying plays with just 2-3 touches a game. The problem is that the next time you give him 3-4 touches, he just gets 3-4 yards.
