Bill Parcells' Guide to Rebuilding the Browns
This is an article I wrote on Bleacherreport that compared the journey's of Mike Holmgren and Bill Parcells to becoming the Head of Football Operations with the Browns and Dolphins. I wanted to show whether the quick turnaround for the Browns was possible as it was with the Dolphins that Parcells took over in 2008. It would be nice to get some input from Browns fans on the article and I would appreciate the feedback including criticism because there's always room for improvement as a writer. As you will notice the article may have a lot of reads but I unfortunately didn't get enough comments. One question I would really like answered from the fans is what kind of turn around are they expecting from the leadership of Holmgren? I know its early but what ever thought's you have would be nice to read. Thanks and fire away on this Ravens fan!

wow what I think about the new guy?
Well I would say after the draft you will see what they are trying to improve on so you know what they are working to fix.We all know about the holes on the team but how you are going to fix them that is what it is all about. That is why we got the guy to run the show. But in this nfl a new idea and a few good players can take you a long way.I would like to say that we did beat the steelers with this team. So what can mangini do with very good players is the thing.I feel great about the team to come and it feels so good to know that the guys have done this in the past and done well.I feel there are 5 big holes on the team right now. The hard part is doing it in a way that makes you better but also in a smart way.The one thing that is hard to do is make a team and do it in a way that works with in the cap. Well our team has some heart in it so how we grow is up to the guys who make the calls. It has killed me that you just do not hear people say what a find or great pick with the browns. I feel that’s about to be a thing of the past now well I hope so anyway. I know there is history with the new people that we have picked out to run this team. So if mangini can do his thing with people offering there 2 cents now and again and mangini learns from last year we are on the way to good football. We just have to wait and see how the new players do and hope they can gell in to a team.
I stated on a previous post on here that I created, I feel we go 8-8 in 2010 and make a run for the playoffs in 2011 (providing there is football in 2011). Mike brings instant credibility to our front office. I believe that Heckert and others seen our front office nightmare last season and ran for the hills. With the big show running the organization, things will be done differently I think. It just seems to me that past front offices were confused with what the right and left hand was doing. This seems to be changed now. It’s still early so the final verdict is yet to come. However I am excited for this season and hoping that we can be a respectable team again soon
