It's Jason Trusnik's Turn for a Tender
Tender, tender, tender. That's all I keep reading about is players getting tendered. What does that mean for the start of free agency tomorrow?
The latest Brown to receive a tender is LB Jason Trusnik, according to the OBR:
LB Jason Trusnik of the Browns has received a surprising second-round tender from the club. With a lot of players around the league fired up about getting tendered lower than they wanted, the high tender for Trusnik comes as a little bit of a surprise. It just shows how much the team likes the recently acquired player
Up next: probably Harrison, Vickers, and DQ.

Interesting. That strikes me as a move that the team hopes will result in a draft pick instead of retaining the player.
Same here. Although the opposite seems true with Trusnik, I doubt anyone will try to pick him up.

I wonder if his money cries will turn off some interested teams.
If you're at the table and you don't see a sucker..... you're it.

Actually, this is NOT that surprising. There is no other tender they could have done with him — he was an undrafted free agent, and the only tender below a 2d rounder is to tender at the player’s original draft position. With an undrafted free agent, that means that a team that signs him would not have to compensate us AT ALL. All this commits us to is to pay him about a million bucks for next season.Linky link for how restricted free agent tenders work.

Should have read this before I replied to Dorn about Trusnik.
