Very Subtle Line Points McNabb In Our Direction
It's not a lot, but it peaked my interest.

My question is what will it take to get McNabb? What would we be willing to give up? The 7th pick in the draft this year? The 39th pick? Even up for Sean Rodgers? It seems that teams are giving up players for less this year, but there is still a quarterback premium to pay, so i am not sure what it would take.
My guess is 2 picks, our 2nd and maybe a 5th. We might also be able to swing a lower pick if we give back a valuable player.
I don’t mind giving up anything after the first two rounds. 1st or 2nd rounder makes me nervous.

I ain’t interested. He’ll cost too much in terms of draft picks and by the time we get a half decent team around him he will be ready to hang it up. I feel like QB is the last thing we should worry about. See if Quinn is the guy this year, if not, find your guy in the draft next year.

I disagree, QB should be the first thing the Browns worry about.Getting McNabb will be more valuable than anybody in the draft or free agency. Though I don’t want to give up a 1st round for McNabb, everything else to me would be fair game. And McNabb solves 2 major voids on the Browns roster, a good QB and an on the field leader. It would also give Holgrem/Heckert time to find the QB of the future at the right price.
I’m not saying we are set at QB, I’m saying that the market is just bad for your team if you need a QB right now. There’s probably one maybe 2 good targets in the draft, and really nothing of any value in free agency. Guys like Derek Anderson and David Carr are passing for veteran free agent QBs. Its just not the right year to look for a QB. McNabb is probably not available and if he is he won’t come cheap. His career will be over by the time we would build a team around him anyway.
I keep saying this: Start Quinn, see what hes got. If he stinks it up this season, start scouting in the next draft, which will probably have a bit more QB depth.

McNabb could help out a young, freshly drafted QB for a couple years (LeFevour?). Although it would look freakishly weird to see him in a orange helmet.
If you're at the table and you don't see a sucker..... you're it.

Good point. haha Didn’t think of that. He has been in green the last decade. So I forgot.

must be nuts
He is worth the 7th pick in the draft! Kolb would be too. These guys unproven and straight out of college are a complete crap shoot. McNabb has been to the playoffs 8 of the last 10 years…….hell yes its worth it, personally i like the rogers quinn suggestion but i dont think that would ever happen. look at the top 7 draft picks over the last 10 years and tell me who has really panned out?
You should send him a reply and tell him.
They gone have to stop sleeping on me one day.. I gotta be one of the best
