2010 NFL Schedule Coming This Tuesday (April 20)

According to Greg Aiello, the NFL will announce the 2010 NFL regular season schedule on Tuesday, April 20th, at 7:00 PM on NFL.com and the NFL Network.

The Browns didn't do a whole lot last year to deserve nationally televised contests this year, but it seems like we're always bound to have one against either the Pittsburgh Steelers or the Baltimore Ravens. Had the Browns acquired more of a big-name quarterback, I think that the addition, along with the other moves Mike Holmgren has made, might have been enough to score a few games in prime time.

So, three questions everyone:

  1. How many nationally televised games will the Browns receive this year?
  2. Who would you like to see the Browns face in Week 1?
  3. Which is better -- having 3 of 4 home games to start out the season, or to close out the season?

We’re not playing the rams this year are we?

No, but that wasn’t specified in the question.

1. How many nationally televised games will the Browns receive this year?

2, a Thursday night game against Baltimore or Pittsburgh, and the game against Carolina

2. Who would you like to see the Browns face in Week 1?

I’d prefer Tampa Bay. If I’m not mistaken, we have had a home game to start the season for quite a few years running now. I bet we get an away one this year, and this is the one I’m hoping for-maybe we can start the season off the right way.

3. Which is better — having 3 of 4 home games to start out the season, or to close out the season?

Considering that the NFL wants to devote the final few weeks to divisional games, I would say to close out the season.

On 3, I’d rather we played road games on both ends of the season this year. Work out the kinks in the beginning and hopefully we’re still healthy in the middle.

I like this idea. Let the momentum of our success carry us through the tough ones at the end, yep.

I’m hoping to make a weekend getaway to Tampa, New Orleans, or Miami, so I’m hoping these games happen in November/December to get away from the cold.

I envy you. I’m here in the southwest desert, some 1200 miles away from anywhere the Browns play this season. I guess I got you beat since I don’t have to go anywhere to stay warm, but those Sundays on the couch really make me wish I was closer to my team, cold weather and all.

Yeah that’s great, want to scrape ice off my car at 7am every day for 12 consecutive days this winter? How about next week?

Lol. Having lived in brutal summers and 50 degree winters my whole life, I keep telling myself I’d sacrifice freezing my ass off for the chance to go to all the Browns home games, but I’m sure that would change as soon as that white stuff shows up. What’s it called again…snow?

2. Open at the Steelers (No Big Ben, continue our domination of them).
3. Close against warm weather teams.

That was going to be my point. A game at the Steelers w/o Big Ben and we’ve got a shot to tick off some Steeler trolls.

forget that…we can beat them with Big Ben…see last year with his jersey on the grass more often than not. I love Ryan’s defense. I say get him the tools and he’ll got that end of the job done.

2. Away at Steelers.

3. Close.

by skipkirk on Apr 14, 2010 6:55 PM EDT reply actions

1. Two. One against the ravens or steelers and one against Carolina
2. Away at Pittsburgh.
3. Close the season at home. Make someone come down to the lakeshore in December and try to out work this team in the cold.

I’ve been hearing rumors that Big Ben might get suspended for a couple games, though I don’t know why. He hasn’t been convicted of anything.
So Pitt in the first game would be cool if that’s the case. But I think we’ll play Atlanta or Carolina.

Everything seems less funny to me since I quit drinking.

If he gets suspended it would be for putting himself into stupid situations far too often for the Comish’s liking, on a motorcycle, in a hotel, and in a seedy nightclub, hey third time is the charm right?

Its for making a complete jackass of himself (as if he needed to do anything else to make people believe that).

For making the Steelers organization look dumb for not being able to control their players.

For being a complete douche.

I would never wish serious injury upon an athlete, (yes, even you Tim Tebow) but I love it. Our defense is coming for you, Pittsburgh. Watch youselves.
