2010 NFL Draft Projections

This is something I used to do as a kid. My family would all make predictions on how the draft would turn out, pick by pick, for the first round. I figure this will be a fun way to prove our draft expertise individually. To clarify, this is what you think WILL happen, not what you think makes the most sense for each individual team.

The person who gets the most picks right shall be crowned Dawgs By Nature Draft Champion.

Here is the draft order. Just copy + paste the following and fill out the player's name and position like so:

  1. St. Louis- Sam Bradford, QB
  2. Detroit-
  3. Tampa Bay-
  4. Washington-
  5. Kansas City-
  6. Seattle-
  7. Cleveland-
  8. Oakland-
  9. Buffalo-
  10. Jacksonville-
  11. Denver-
  12. Miami-
  13. San Francisco-
  14. Seattle - from Denver-
  15. New York Giants-
  16. Tennessee-
  17. San Francisco-
  18. Pittsburgh-
  19. Atlanta-
  20. Houston -
  21. Cincinnati-
  22. New England-
  23. Green Bay-
  24. Philadelphia-
  25. Baltimore-
  26. Arizona-
  27. Dallas-
  28. San Diego-
  29. New York Jets-
  30. Minnesota-
  31. Indianapolis-
  32. New Orleans-

IMPORTANT- Please refrain from discussing your picks in this thread.  The clutter will make it too challenging to go back and count up the totals. [whisper] This includes whispering. [/whisper]

Also, please get your picks submitted by Wednesday April 21st, the day before the draft. I wanted to post this now to give everyone a fair amount of time to mull things over before you submit your picks.

In the event of trades during the draft, the picks will be graded based upon the NUMERICAL POSITION they were chosen. That means, if you have Eric Berry going to the Browns at #7, you will still receive a point even if the Browns trade out of 7 to another team, as long as said team still selects Eric Berry.

It would be helpful if you recced this to the top as well.

This is a fan-created post. Dawgs By Nature assumes no responsibility for the content listed.

Let’s try a little input from the universe. I took the Research Randomizer at http://www.randomizer.org/form.htm and divided up the first 32 CBS NFL draft prospects (http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/draft/prospectrankings/TSX/2010) into groups so as not to get too far-of-field and then randomized each set. Here are the sets I randomized:
1-4, 5-8, 9-16, 17-24, and 25-32.
Here are the results…

   1. St. Louis- Suh DT
   2. Detroit- Berry FS
   3. Tampa Bay- McCoy DT
   4. Washington- Bradford QB (wouldn’t that be weird)
   5. Kansas City- Okung OT
   6. Seattle- Williams OT
   7. Cleveland- Spiller RB
   8. Oakland- Morgan DE
   9. Buffalo- Bryant WR
  10. Jacksonville- Bulaga OT
  11. Denver- Davis OT
  12. Miami- Haden CB
  13. San Francisco- Williams DT
  14. Seattle – from Denver- Thomas CB
  15. New York Giants- Clausen QB
  16. Tennessee- McClain ILB
  17. San Francisco- Greasham TE
  18. Pittsburgh- Mathews RB
  19. Atlanta- Pierre-Paul DE
  20. Houston – Pouncey C
  21. Cincinnati- Kindle OLB
  22. New England- Iupati OG
  23. Green Bay- Mays FS
  24. Philadelphia- Graham OLB
  25. Baltimore- McCourty CB

(whisper) i love this idea, could be the most accurate draft especially considering we are doing it by pick number and not by team (so things like clausen to the giants at pick 15) actually make sense
