It appears Brian Daboll and Company will get tricky if and when Joshua Cribbs and Seneca Wallace are on the field at the same time.
On one play, Cribbs lined up wide right. The defense had to assume he wouldn’t stay there.
He didn’t. He shuffled into the slot. The defense had to wonder. Would he motion to the quarterback hole, with Wallace shifting to the slot, maybe?
No. Wallace took the snap. Cribbs darted from the right slot on a slant and put up his hands, a hard sell on the thought he was the primary target. Wallace pump faked, then looked right, to where Montario Hardesty had slipped out of the backfield and was wide open.
The guess is the Browns want the defense to fear a bunch of different combinations featuring Cribbs and Wallace. This could be very interesting.
