Wide Receivers
Right now we have 8 Wide Receivers on our roster...
- Robiskie
- Massaquoi
- Stuckey
- Steptoe
- Cribbs
- Jake Allen
- Johnathan Haggerty
- Carlton Mitchell
Based on the current Wide Receivers are there any dark horses that impress you? Looking at our Wide Receiver crop right now we look pretty bad. Our #2 receiver, Robiskie, caught 7 balls last year. Behind Robiskie, Massaquoi, and Cribbs we look horrible. Stuckey is decent, but he is not the answer for a #3 or even #4 receiver. Steptoe is coming back from an injury and wasn't even that good when healthy. Allen, Haggerty, and Mitchell are all unproven, which means the verdict is still out, so hopefully they pan out. After looking over the receivers I really hope we can bring in an experienced vet to help out this season, but it doesn't look likely to happen.
Thoughts?

- and #4 are defined as decent receivers.

We did bring in an experienced vet to help out this year: Jake Delhomme.
Also, Stuckey was pretty decent in NY. I expect him to be pretty decent again now that he doesn’t have Quinn and Anderson to deal with.

I think Stuckey can be a solid 3 if he reaches his potential and has a QB that can get it within 5 yards of his route. A lot hinges on Robiskie this year, if he turns into a capable starter, then our WRs will be decent enough. If not, we should be prepared for a pretty poor passing attack.
It’s also important to consider Watson and Moore as part of the passing game.

Oh, I thought he just meant Ryan Kelsey. Since he frequents LGT a bit more though, you’re probably right.

I think he meant our Ryan since he did the first few right?

He did the RB preview; his next scheduled one is LB.

Stuckey can be a good #3. We almost never went 4 wide last year, probably because of a lack of WRs, but also because we want to run the ball.
Watson, Moore, Robi, and Mass could be a legit NFL threat. There is pretty much no concept we can’t run with those 4 on the field.
