why would you rather have haggerty? Stucky has been a serviceable #3 receiver in his very short career. haggerty barely saw the field playing for the browns

Nice signing. He looks like a real go getter for long balls and jump balls.
Here´s how I see it at this point:
Bread and butter wideout: Mohamad Massaquoi
classic flanker: Stuckey…remains to be seen if he´s as good as Ward, Royal or Welker
freaky flanker: Cribbs, albeit not ideal, I´m thinking a Leonard Weaver type
speedster receiver: ?
longball/jumpball: Mitchell
possession: Robiskie?…not so sure if he´s skilled and tough enough.
situational wideout: lost one of the best in Mike Furrey
receiving tight end: Evan Moore
big tight end: Greg Estandia
tough tight end: Watson
And now Bobby Engram. Wow, there must be wishing well for the Browns. He´s very good.
Slightly conflicted about who the bread and butter wideout is though now.
If I´m not mistaken that moves Stuckey from classic flanker to situational receiver, and puts us in the predicament of who is the classic flanker and who is the bread and butter wideout, Engram or Massaquoi. At least, for me personally, the question of who should be on the field in most regular situations has been answered. That would be: Massaquoi, Engram, Moore, possible Mitchell if you have that many receivers on the field.
Chalk in McCoy, Hillis and Hardesty, for most regular situations, and we´re roaring to go.
Then let me reiterate my favored O-line alignment, and mooncamping signals the go-ahead: LOT Thomas, LOG Mack, C Steinbach, ROG Lauvao and ROT Kooistra.
I disagree with Rob Ryan´s choices on defense, so the defense does not receive my a-ok.
Didn’t we wave Kooistra? Also I can’t help but notice Mack has worked his way back into your offense.

That´s an interesting comparison, a Deion Sanders of O-line and D-line. Makes you wonder who could pull that off.
None other than Go..Joe Thomas.

we did indeed also, lauvao isn’t ready to start in my opinion, as much as it pains me to say this…..i think womack is prolly our best option on the right side unless Lauvao shows some good stuff at training camp.
If you´re insistence in that regard was for a skill position requiring experience, I´d let that stand as sensible. But the line is physical first and foremost, and it´s usually not rocket science. So as you alluded, I would say that at the first sign of physical superiority to certain aspirants to the position of right guard, we signal starter. These guys come out of college in top physical condition, they are prepared for a baptism by fire situation.
Am I seeing things or is Moon starting to make sense again.

Speaking personally and not in any official MIDAS capacity, I feel it’s a significant part of the mooncamping gestalt.

Yeah, I never said he was bad. Just a little too itchy to be the stalwart at center, he has a nervous urge to seek and destroy, and tends to end up like 20 yards down field. That penchant is much more suitable to a guard, because the guard must strain the most to create a hole to the side of the more immobile and immovable center. That type of play, and even being a pulling guard occasionally is perfect for his temperament.
The nose guard inference was due to his beastlyness. I thought he could put his aggressive impulses to better use there.
In any case, I think he´s an asset, just not at center.
Where is that “fan confidence” thing on the upper left hand side of the home page coming from? Just wondering what poll that’s coming from…our overly optimistic/cautiously pessimistic thread?

It is part of the SBN Cleveland Regional page. If you go here:

It asks, “how are you feeling about the Browns right now?” The Browns always make me happy, so I turn it all the way up.
That probably explains why the Browns are rated higher than the Cavs and Indians.
