To be fair, they were playing a much better defense than we were. Many offenses look bad against the Ravens defense. It’s much too early to write them off yet, but Sanchez looks like he hasn’t improved at all from last year.

Yeah, the Jets were blitzing all the time in the first half so he was left in single coverage many times. I thought Cromartie looked worse; he made a few stupid penalties.

Cromartie stayed true to form. Made a play, but also made so many dumb plays that hurt the team more in the long run.

He looked pretty bad. They went at him every single time, but in fairness for whatever reason Rexy had him in isolation against Boldin while his entire defense was blitzing.
That’s just stupid. Boldin’s getting up there in years, but still, if anyone on that Ravens team requires double coverage, it’s him.

Wanted to note that Eric Berry was responsible for guarding Gates on the SD TD and was nowhere near him. Pretty poor coverage or effort.
I think Dilfer was correct (hurts me to say) when he talked about the triangle bracket on those WRs. Berry was responsible for Gates if he came inside, and simply was out of position.
He is a rookie too, let’s give him a bit before we hate on him too hard.

I was making a joke since he was a rookie…If he wasn’t a rookie, I wouldn’t have called it a ‘rookie mistake’. Plus, from what I can remember, he wasn’t being hit, or not being touched that hard, so it was just a case of concentration at hanging onto the ball.

I was born in KC, the Chiefs are easily the biggest deal around there. Great home crowd, and one of the older style stadiums leads to a great home field advantage.
I hate their colors but Len Dawson won a SB with them so I suppose they hold a special place in my heart.

I always liked them because I liked Marty S. from his days as Browns coach. Then I started to feel sorry for them when every year they would do awesome in the regular season and lose their first game in the playoffs. Marty is the greatest regular season coach evah . . . Playoffs, not so much.
Also, I will never forget Marty in the 1998 season with a quote even better than the quote I have as my sig, it was something like, “Elvis Grbac is our starting quarterback.” YOu’d have to remember the context of the quote to know how idiotic it was.
