It’s yet another alternate browser for Android, which seems to be fairly well regarded. Details here. Some built in Flash support among other things.
I’m new to Android so of course I slapped this and Dolphin on first thing and have been bouncing back and forth. Thus far I have yet to develop a strong preference. Sadly, Fennec, the Firefox derivative for Android, is an alpha and is too slow and buggy for me right now….

he is just doing the dumpoffs. I saw his stats later and it was 8-8 for 78 yards. Less than 10 yards a completion is not at all good. To put it this way: Colt’s yards per completion is 9.75 and BQs last year was 9.8. Under 10 is not good.

ok…so you can count YPA. 9.9 YPA is actually excellent. That is not what I was focusing on. Colt had 100% completion, which was good, but his Yards per Completion ended just above 10.
Pryor’s YPA was 9.9 which, if he kept it up, would be among the NCAA leaders. Same with his 14.5 yards per completion. This shows just how Colt’s yards per attempt is misleading b/c pryor was by far better.

No, really. The Autobahn was poured at 3’ thick and with long sweeping turns to handle tank weight and ensure landing areas for planes all over Germany if the country was to go to war. Turns out that even with harsh winters the concrete doesn’t deteriorate like ours due to the thickness. The speed limit is unlimited due to that and the wide turns.

Cleveland Rams (1936–1945)
The Cleveland Rams were founded by attorney Homer Marshman in 1936. Their name, the Rams, comes from the nickname of Fordham University. Rams was selected to honor the hard work of the football players that came out of that university. They were part of the newly formed American Football League and finished the 1936 regular season in second place with a 5–2–2 record, trailing only the 8–3 record of league champion Boston Shamrocks.
The following year the Rams joined the National Football League on February 12, 1937, and were assigned to the Western division to replace the St. Louis Gunners, who had left the league after a three-game stint in the 1934 season. From the beginning, they were a team marked by frequent moves playing in three stadiums over several losing seasons.
In June 1941, the Rams were bought by Dan Reeves and Fred Levy, Jr.; Reeves, the principal owner, was an heir to his family’s grocery-chain business; when the company was purchased by A&P, he used some of his inheritance to buy the team. in April 1943, Reeves bought out Levy (who later rejoined Reeves in the ownership of the Rams).2 The franchise suspended operations and sat out the 1943 season because of a shortage of players during World War II and resumed playing in 19443 (coincidentally, the only other active NFL team to completely suspend operations without merging with another team would be the current NFL team in Cleveland, the Browns, doing so from 1996-98 as part of the agreement for Art Modell to relocate his franchise to Baltimore). The team finally achieved success in 1945, which proved to be their last season in Ohio. Quarterback Bob Waterfield, a rookie from UCLA, passed, ran, and place-kicked his way to the league’s Most Valuable Player award and helped the Rams achieve a 9–1 record and winning their first NFL Championship, a 15–14 home field victory over the Washington Redskins on December 16. The margin of victory was a safety; Redskins great Sammy Baugh’s pass caromed off the goal post and bounded through his own end zone. The next year rules were changed that made this a mere incomplete pa

I am not saying however that YPA is less meaningful. It is more meaningful. However, Y/C matters. if you purely look at Y/A, Colt and Terrelle Pryor had similar nights. However, if you look at yards per completion, Pryor was much better at stretching the field.

Stretching the field only matters if it makes it easier for you to move the ball, get 1st downs, and score. If you could complete every pass you threw for 10 yards, that’s a first down every time and a TD when you get close enough.
"Statistics are like bikinis. What they reveal is suggestive, but what they conceal is vital." - Aaron Levenstein
thats a good point. Its okay not to stretch the field if you can still move the ball. However, the browns were not that efficient at moving the ball. They were able to move the ball, but definitely could have used to stretch the field more.
If you could complete every pass you threw for 10 yards, that’s a first down every time and a TD when you get close enough.
how often is a guy going to complete 100% of his passes? I do think Colt had a great game, but there were times (like at the end of the half) where we could have used to try it more downfield.

So, Whatta you do? Ratliff looks like Joe Montana compared to McCoy and Davis is explosive and can catch vs. Hardesty’s bad knees.
What does that MEAN - TO PLAY US OUT?!!?!?
I don’t think Davis and Hardesty are competing against each other. At least i hope not. Ratliff and McCoy, don’t really care about either but I would imagine McCoy’s youth will give him the spot.

Well since Davis was battling Jennings for a roster spot I dont see why you made that comparison.
And no way Ratliff makes the team over McCoy.
by Justin Kowalczyk on Sep 2, 2010 10:08 PM EDT up reply actions
I would say McCoy looks like Joe Montana compared to ratliff, He has an excellent completion % and even had a higher yards per completion (and better yards per attempt. Colt had almost double the QB rating of Ratliff

You must not have seen the first quarter. He looked awful. Credit for bouncing back and putting together a couple of nice drives, but he looked all kinds of bad.

I think if you put Hardesty on the PUP for 6 weeks you can keep both. Maybe Ratliffe can make it through waivers onto the practice squad.

Why would Hardesty get PUP’d for an injury that he was Questionable to come back in tonight?
And what has Brett Ratliff ever done when games mattered to make you want him on this roster. Id rather not lose a project in McCoy then not lose a career clipboard holder.
by Justin Kowalczyk on Sep 2, 2010 10:12 PM EDT up reply actions
IF and only IF he injury looks like it would keep him out a couple of weeks. Shawn Rogers deadline for a decision on the PUP is tomorrow – if I’m not mistaken, should be the same for any player. As far as Ratliff goes – If we are going to use Seneca as much as it looks – do you really want McCoy to be your 2nd stringer if he gets injured on a Wildcat play?
What does that MEAN - TO PLAY US OUT?!!?!?
I would feel just as comfortable with McCoy as I do Ratliff

I’d rather not lose any sort of young, project player that we put on the practice squad than a career clipboard holder also possibly put on the PS.

Just looking through the game comments and how people freak out about a preseason game. Kid goes 13-13 and the comments read like he is HS JV player. The ball never came up on the snap. This is his redshirt year. Kid has all that it takes from a character and leadership standpoint. If his arm is NFL caliber – Browns have a winner. If not, it was a 3rd round draft pick, and no trade up to get him.
Note to Bill Byrne "Because you aren´t Texas and you´ll never be Texas"
13-13 is only a stat, not the caliber of his play. He is a HS JV player out there, don’t fool yourself.
