Revis and Jets agree to deal
Four years, 46 million with 32 of that guaranteed.
I know that Eric Wright isn't in the same company as Revis (who is?) but the price for CB's is skyrocketing up. I shudder to think what the franchise tag for a CB will cost now.
Anyone know if the Browns and Wright have had any talks yet?

Yeah, he got a pay-raise, but doesn’t Revis and his agent look like the losers here? I don’t know, I still don’t see how Revis had any leverage whatsoever and this seems like a pretty fair solution.

I’d call this one for Revis. The contract is front loaded (16 million in each of the first two years). The Jets included an option to void the contract if he holds out in the future, but that’s going to mean nothing come 2012 when he’s entering his prime and the cost of having his contract voided is minimal. He’ll have another contract in 2012, either with the Jets or with another team.

Right. At the very worst he will be an unrestricted free agent at the age 27-28.
If I remember correctly the Jets are not allowed to tag him after the four seasons.
