Around SBN: Jerry Sandusky's Wife Tries To Run A Reporter Over

PFT reports that the Cleveland Browns added center Steve Vallos to their roster. Vallos was a seventh-round pick of the Seahawks in 2007. He played in every game in 2008 and 2009, starting in eight of them. No word on who the Browns waived to make room for Vallos, but my guess would be Billy Yates or Titus Brown.

ll undoubtedly be Yates.

I can't believe Cribbs was considered the second best athlete in Cleveland.

The only reason I’d question that is if Floyd Womack ends up not being ready this week. I find it hard to believe we’d enter the game with only seven healthy linemen. Mangini did say today that he hopes to see Womack practicing by Wednesday.

I doubt that the 7 healthy lineman will miss Yates much…

I’m surprised the Browns didn’t wait for the Seahawks to waive Sean Locklear.

granted, vallos is younger, can play center, has significantly more upside

My money would be on Brown.

Florio had us giving Owen Schmidt a look as well. I guess it’s true that no one outside of Cleveland knows how good Vickers is.

I think it really goes to show just how bad these guys — Kooistra, Yates, etc. — from camp were that none of them were able to make the roster. They actually highlighted the abilities of John St. Clair.

That’s all kinds of sad.

Maybe it would help if someone explained to St. Clair that his job is not to avoid contact.
