2011 Game Day Threads

Super Bowl XLVI - Official Game Thread (2nd Half)

The Giants seemed to be in control of the half, but the Patriots got the ball back for a two-minute drill and marched all the way down the field -- 14 plays, 96 yards, for the go-ahead touchdown. It is 10-9 Patriots heading into halftime.

Super Bowl XLVI - Official Game Thread (1st Half)

The New York Giants came away victorious when these two teams met four years ago in the Super Bowl, thanks to a miraculous catch by David Tyree. Not many of the Patriots players remain from that team, but for those that do, as well as head coach Bill Belichick, you know it still stings.

2012 Pro Bowl Thread (For Browns Fans)

Who wants to talk about the Pro Bowl? No one, because if you try to pay attention to the game, you'll be asleep by the end of the first quarter, especially since there aren't any members of the...

NFC Championship: New York Giants vs. San Francisco 49ers

The Giants and the 49ers have each had great postseason efforts from Eli Manning and Alex Smith, respectively. Both defenses have fierce groups up front with some clutch plays by their secondary. The NFC Championship will be contested under rainy conditions though; how will that affect the pass rushers on both teams?

AFC Championship: Baltimore Ravens vs. New England Patriots

If you don't think Tom Brady is on a mission to make a point against a Ravens team that made him look mortal two years ago in the playoffs, then you don't know Brady. In the past, the Patriots might have lacked some physical receivers.

Divisonal Playoffs: New York Giants vs. Green Bay Packers

The final game of this round between the Giants and the Packers is another very intriguing NFC match-up. The Giants somehow know how to turn on a switch when the postseason comes around. Their...

Divisional Playoffs: Houston Texans vs. Baltimore Ravens

Today's first game features the Texans and the Ravens. I am not a big Baltimore fan, and even with their undefeated home record, I feel that Joe Flacco is going to fail to deliver when they need...

Divisional Playoffs: Denver Broncos vs. New England Patriots

Can Tim Tebow and the Denver Broncos do it again? After stunning the Pittsburgh Steelers last week, the Broncos could fall back to reality this week. They had a lot of things in their favor against...

Divisional Playoffs: New Orleans Saints vs. San Francisco 49ers

All four games this weekend feature some of the most intriguing matchups you can get in football. The Divisional Round of the playoffs kicks off with the high-powered Saints offense going up...

Wildcard Weekend: Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Denver Broncos

Can Tim Tebow upset the Pittsburgh Steelers, ousting them in the first round of the playoffs? Pittsburgh is dealing with a couple of key injuries right now, but their defense still ranks as one of the best and most intimidating in the league. If Tebow continues to scuffle as he has the past few weeks, could Brady Quinn receive an opportunity to play?

Wildcard Weekend: Atlanta Falcons vs. New York Giants

Cleveland Browns fans will have an interest in both of today's playoff games. If the Atlanta Falcons lose in the first-round of the playoffs, Cleveland gets a higher second first-round draft choice in April. Can Matty Ice play an efficient postseason game by hooking up with rookie receiver Julio Jones?

Wildcard Weekend: Detroit Lions vs. New Orleans Saints

When these two teams met in the regular season, the New Orleans Saints blew out the Detroit Lions as the game went on. Both offenses are explosive and I expect this to be a shootout game, as do most people. The Saints just seem like they can move the chains more consistently because they have more weapons -- like Jimmy Graham and Darren Sproles -- to complement their receivers.

Wildcard Weekend: Cincinnati Bengals vs. Houston Texans

Our first wildcard game of the weekend is the one that seems most like a regular-season game to me as the Cincinnati Bengals take on the Houston Texans. Which one of these unproven quarterbacks will be able to pick up a postseason win?

Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Cleveland Browns - Official Game Thread (4th Quarter)

After a Seneca Wallace interception, the Steelers drove down the field en route to an Isaac Redman touchdown run, giving Pittsburgh a 13-6 advantage. Cleveland then put together a drive similar to one in the first half -- with catches by Joshua Cribbs and a big run by Wallace -- to set up another field goal (49 yards) by Dawson. The Browns are down 13-9 heading into the final quarter (barring overtime) of the season.

Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Cleveland Browns - Official Game Thread (3rd Quarter)

The Browns managed to get the run game going and had a nice scramble by Seneca Wallace to set up a field goal to go up 3-0. With the Steelers' offense still inefficient, Cleveland had a couple of nice catches by Joshua Cribbs to set up a 45-yard field goal by Phil Dawson with a minute to go in the half.

Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Cleveland Browns - Official Game Thread (2nd Quarter)

The Browns did nothing on offense in the first quarter, but Pittsburgh hasn't looked too good with Ben Roethlisberger either. It is a scoreless game as we head to the second quarter.

Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Cleveland Browns - Official Game Thread

Happy New Year! It is Week 17 in the NFL, meaning it is the final game of the regular season for the Cleveland Browns as they do battle with the Pittsburgh Steelers. After a rather miserable season, can the Browns win their first division game and begin the year 2012 with a bang?

Week 17 NFL Game Thread (for Browns Fans)

The Browns play the Steelers at 4:15 PM EST, so this game thread is for you to discuss all of the 1:00 PM EST games. The two games with playoff implications are the Jets vs. Dolphins and the Titans...

RG III - Baylor Bowl Game Thread (for Browns Fans)

Those were questions posed to Cleveland Browns head coach Pat Shurmur during Thursday's press conference with the media. It is no secret that Robert Griffin III of Baylor could be a quarterback who Browns fans will be calling for come April. Will his performance against Washington in the Alamo Bowl tonight make drafting him any more intriguing?

Monday Night Football Game Thread (for Browns Fans)

Tonight's Monday Night Football game still has some playoff implications. Even though both teams have clinched playoff spots, I believe the Falcons can still take the division. The Saints,...

Sunday Night Football Game Thread (for Browns Fans)

This year's Christmas Day game in the NFL would be a lot more exciting if Jay Cutler and Matt Forte were available, but that doesn't mean this game doesn't mean anything. For one, the Packers do not have the No. 1 seed locked up yet. The Bears also have a fighting chance at making the postseason.

Cleveland Browns vs. Baltimore Ravens - Official Game Thread (3rd Quarter)

An early Seneca Wallace interception turned back some early momentum that the Browns had. The Ravens' offense converted too many third down opportunities, eventually leading to a 17-0 Baltimore lead. Cleveland tried to drive late and were looking good...but then had another embarrassing sequence.

Cleveland Browns vs. Baltimore Ravens - Official Game Thread

It is Week 16 in the NFL, and this week the Browns will seek vengeance on the Ravens for the loss suffered to them three weeks ago. Can Seneca Wallace build upon last week's performance and find out how to close a game if they happen to get an early lead again?

Cleveland Browns vs. Arizona Cardinals - Official Game Thread (4th Quarter)

A big play by Seneca Wallace-to-Greg Little put the Cleveland Browns ahead 17-7 near the end of the third quarter, but Arizona started with great field position to after a personal foul (facemask) penalty on Cleveland. It looked like Arizona would get it right back, but then rookie cornerback Buster Skrine came up with an awesome interception to give the ball back to the Browns.

Cleveland Browns vs. Arizona Cardinals - Official Game Thread (3rd Quarter)

The Cleveland Browns got off to a quick start under Seneca Wallace with an opening-drive touchdown run by Peyton Hillis. The offense has been a mixed bag so far, and the defense played well overall except for a late touchdown drive to close out the first half. The Browns lead 10-7 at the half.

Cleveland Browns vs. Arizona Cardinals - Official Game Thread

It is Week 15 in the NFL, and this week the Browns will get to evaluate the offense without Colt McCoy under center. Will a controversy ensue if Seneca Wallace makes the offense 'tick?'
