Greetings! trying find info about Rob Ryan
Supposedly Rob Ryan will be the new DC in Dallas and I haven't got to see any Browns games so my questions are?
Was he a good coordinator in Cleveland?...Was there any bad blood between him or other coaches causing him to leave?
Did ya'll like his defensive schemes? does he blitz a lot? does he play zone or man in the secondary most of the time?
Which other coaches do you think he would want to take with him to Dallas?
I know nothing about the guy and I am a little nervous about the hire do to the fact I know nothing about him as a coach.
thanks for your answers in advance

Yes.

No, but he has an intense rivalry with his brother (Rex) you’re surely to become aware of.

Yes, I really like them. His father developed the 46 defense, and his brother runs it with the Jets. Rob ran a 3-4 scheme here in Cleveland, but constantly through different looks at the QB. We saw the “amoeba” defense a lot this season, where there was no standard down-lineman, just the from 7 moving around before the snap.
Don’t let the “statistical rankings” scare you. Despite a complete lack of talent and depth, over the past two seasons I’ve seen enough from Rob Ryan to realize that he is a fantastic defensive coordinator and I’m disappointed to see him go. He’s also really into the game and gets fired up often. I’ve also generally found him and his awesome hair very likable.

Our D is what kept us competitive in all but two games this year. You guys have an awesome DC now in Ryan. He is very creative in disguising coverages and loves to blitz. The real problem with our team this year was that our O couldn’t find the endzone with a map and a compass.

My favorite thing about RR as a coach was his tendency toward using the players to the best of thier ability – rather than trying to make them fit a system. He will make your defense better. Also, it was often said that players would “run through a wall” for him. Good Luck next year.
What does that MEAN - TO PLAY US OUT?!!?!?
You go Cowboys fan! Yeeeeeeeeeeeeehaaaaaaah

I think he was a little overrated for his work here, but I think he’s a solid defensive coordinator. He hides blitzes well and I love his system of hiding the blitzers by only putting one down lineman. He blitzed a good deal and played a lot of man accordingly. I think he’s a solid to solid-plus defensive coordinator, but I think Cleveland got caught up in him a bit too much.
Agreed.
If you haven't watched Inception, do it now. Right now.
