NFL Week 5 - Bye Week Open Thread (Browns Fans)
It is Week 5 in the NFL and the Cleveland Browns are on the bye this week. Thankfully we have seen the Peyton Hillis controversy put to bed over the past couple of days, and maybe we'll even hear about a new deal being reached soon. Besides that, the bye week allows Alex Mack to recover from having his appendix removed, guys like Joe Haden, Joshua Cribbs, and Mohamed Massaquoi to get back to 100 percent, and players like Tony Pashos, Eric Hagg, and Titus Brown to be healthy and active on game day.
I talked about the games to watch within our division this week in this morning's edition of The Sunday Five. You can use this thread to discuss all of the games that are taking place today. I don't know how active the threads will be, so overflow threads will depend on the amount of traffic they get. After the division games, I'll do an instant recap thread of how the division standings look heading into Week 5.

I’m glad we have a bye.
So I may not be able to watch next week’s game :(. It’s my fall break, so I think I’m doing something late Sunday afternoon when the game’s on. I may record it, and then if we win I’ll watch it.
I work a split so no game for me =[

Former Peyton owner here, reduced to asking should I start Dalton or Campbell this week?

Max Starks on his couch last weekend is protecting Big Ben today. Here’s to hoping he fails big time.
This is why I had a dilemma haha

Yep, I mean they could go 4-1 and they still have 5 division games left. And I want to see Tampa again. I saw them play Min earlier but missed MNF last week.
SF is legit. And I think Bernie was wrong when he said that Harbaugh was playing Suck for Luck this season.

I am not sure, but if they can even play close to TB (who looks like the better team) I will say they are legit. Philly and Seattle aren’t very good right now

they beat two teams playing badly in close games. TB is a good team and as long as they don’t get blown out by TB, I am convinced they are legit.

Ummm, bross, you realize that San Francisco blew out Tampa Bay before you posted your first comment. That is what prompted the “?”

Anyone else hoping that Finnegan goes back to his old ways and starts a fight with Ward today?
Even Doug Dieken admits Joe Thomas is the real #73
I do, only to see Finnegan become Innegan when he gets the F beaten out of him.

Really? I say Titans-Steelers. Have you seen Roethlisberger’s or Harrison’s faces?

Not going to be watching any 1 PM football today, as it’s 75 and sunny and I’m gonna go play it instead.

First play of the game and the Steelers just gave up a 21 yard run to Johnson. I’m thinking breakout game this season.

Watching Titans-Steelers. I want to see the Titans destroy them. Might make me feel a little better about our loss to the Titans and get to see the Steelers continued downward spiral. Win-Win.

The Commish wants 2 London games. Anyone else hoping the Browns are chosen for a game in London soon?
Forgot to enter my picks in the DBN pick ’em and forgot to replace Anquan Boldin who has a bye this week. FFFFF$#%#^&!#$%% ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

Titans-Steelers looking just like what they did against us last week. Boom Boom – Johnson 33 yards out of the gate on the 1st drive and they get down to the Steelers 3 yard line in 3 minutes. Too bad they shot themselves in the foot with a penalty and ended up with a field goal.
Go, I say go away boy, you bother me.

A guy in my league has Peterson, Hillis, and Fred Jackson. How unfair is that?

I had Jamaal Charles along with Michael Turner. Turner isn’t consistent, so my RBs suck. Sproles is my other starter.

Steelers rolling. Makes me wonder about the pecking order of the AFC North. OT…that Derrick Rose commercial with the matador makes me hope Miami won’t be in the finals.

Honestly not too upset that we won’t have to watch the Cavs stink and LeBron be a douche. Saves me one less disappointing sports team.
Until they get Kyrie n Tristan developed I can root for Chicago right? Not like It’s football :-).

Yeah….the players seem pretty staunch in their stance. I hope so though. But on second thought, if LBJ never wins a championship because of the most protracted lockout in sports history, I’m ok with that.

Lawrence Vickers just dropped a pass where he had a wide open lane to the endzone. I still miss the guy, but he can’t catch.

I spent my weekend moving 25yds. Of topsoil, 1 ton of stone, 10 yards of mulch, laying 250ft of landscape edging, planting 1500sq ft. of grass and power washing the whole mess of my driveway. The only help I had was the wife and her 18 yr. old son. I’m dead, toast, kaput, to say the least. Football and beer were never so good to me – bye week or not.
What does that MEAN - TO PLAY US OUT?!!?!?
