O Line - Why so poor?

McCoy has been playing with a O line that has not gotten better throughout the year. The result, a concussion and possibly knee surgery in the off season. A poster said that the Browns need to fire the O line coach and I agree. The same player type on the O line for years and no consistent scheme on the blocking. Thomas on the end is fine but he occupies one player and releases his man after the initial contact. He (All World, All Pro) is not playing with fire in his belly and he gets another All Pro nod based on reputation. I hope he gets a pass this year as he played just above average. Alex Mack, the center, and another 1st round draft choice is another above average lineman but Pro-Bowl? Yea, last year as others voted were injured or disinterested. So two 1st rounders and above average and two journeymen who should be making the most of their opportunity (last hurrah?) and the total sum is NO PASS PROTECTION.

Just look at the Houston Texans to see an O line play as a unit. They protect the passer and block for 1,000 yard rusher. They have just one 1st round draft choice, a journeyman and free agent at guards and pick-up center and a 3rd rounder at right tackle. Better personnel than the Browns? I'm guessing John Benton Offensive Line Coach can give lessons to George Warhop Offensive Line Coach of the Browns. MAKE THE CHANGE. We can compete....
