Presents for Browns Fans!
Merry Christmas, guys!
How many of you got something Browns related for Christmas?
Along with a new Fender acoustic and 2 12packs of Heineken, I got 2 Browns plaques. One is of Peyton Hillis in mid flight. The other one is of DA, Winslow, and Edwards. Obviously an old one. It says "Browns Big 3".When I unwrapped it and saw what it was, I started laughing my ass off! Of course I didn’t have the heart to say why I was laughing and scream out "Those guys are nutsacks!". It’s the thought that counts. Right?
I think the best present is what my Aunt sent me. She knows I’m a Cardinal fan and not a huge Buckeye fan. The note just said "HA!" It was an Ohio State chew toy for Kosar. He’s been running around with it all morning. Just watching him being happy makes me happy.
So please share you Browns presents here. We want to know!
Merry Christmas and GO BROWNS!
Robert

No Browns presents this year. However, my wife got me the Complete Star Wars Saga on Blu-ray. Kick ass.

Dude, that’s awesome! She’s a keeper.
My jerk-off little asshole pot head step brother is military bound in a few years. I got him the Band of Brothers box set. He totally ran up and hugged me.

that’s an awesome gift. I would hug a Steelers fan if he gave that to me…I’d feel dirty afterwards though.

I’ll Rec that. I asked for the Back to the Future trilogy on Blu Ray but didn’t get it :(. I did get a kickass immersion blender and a new toaster oven though woo wooo.

My mom got us a toaster oven for Christmas two years ago. Must be a popular gift.

I had one at college and used it constantly. Great for toasting sandwiches.

I got a Browns license plate holder to put around my stupid PA plates. Also, I finally got a nice display case for my autographed Joe Thomas football (my girlfriend got the ball for me at our 6 month mark).
Even Doug Dieken admits Joe Thomas is the real #73
I have a Browns plate on the front of my car; I often get strange looks here in central PA. But that could be because Steelers fans always look puzzled by basic things.

I actually opened one later from my stocking. My sister says my car will be keyed. I haven’t met a Steelers fan who cares about the Browns since I moved to PA.

My parent live in WV (diehard Steelers territory) and have a Browns license plate holder and haven’t been keyed.

Well I went to the red rocks casino in NW las vegas to watch the Browns – Ravens game, wearing my old beat up Kosar jersey. Turns out I met 7 other Browns fans there wearing assorted Browns gear. Looking to maybe start banding together and watch the games as a group. So my present was to not be the only Browns fan in my area.

Little OT – but Pat should man up and say that was as stinky a coaching performance and clock management that I have seen – and I lived through the Romeo days.

I don’t know, they way I hear Shurmur was acting, that may have been on Seneca, though it is the coach’s job to fall on the sword there.

Even if it’s true Seneca is to blame, Shurmur threw him under the bus. He failed in at least one aspect of coaching no matter what really happened.

He sort of did, he said he was calling for him to clock it, but he couldn’t get the communication through so the blame should be on him for the communication problem. I know some here would like to think that Shurmur should say he called for the run. Frankly that would be far more worrisome than him not taking the blame enough to give the Fire Shurmur crowd more ammo to fire Shurmur.
As the head coach, I’ve got to do a better job of making sure that in those situations it gets done right, okay?

I got the Factory of Sadness shirt. Gonna bring it to training camp and try and get Holmgren to autograph it.
Most likely he wont pay attention to what the shirt says. Im hoping he just grabs it and autographs it. Ill send my little nephew so he gets a better chance.

I got a throwback Browns leather jacket with the elf. It’s awesome and warm.
I also got a Browns sandwich maker. All my sandwiches from this point forward will be labeled Browns. (It’s an awesome gift, but I think it might be a clever ploy by H&H to stake claim to all my noms.)

This is awesome. I want one to put in the garden of the guy down the street who flys a Steeler flag all year round.

I didn’t get much this year what with moving to San Diego to live on a ship, but my parents did get me $100 gift card for NFL Shop so I can buy myself a new jersey to go along with my Phil Dawson. I’ve been having some trouble debating which to get. Thomas is the most logical choice, but I’m also considering a Haden, Sheard, or Ward jersey. I also thought it would be really awesome to have a white throwback of Otto Graham. Too bad they didn’t get me $600 in gift card money…

Wait until the draft. Maybe you can get the very first RG3 jersey.
by Bernie19Kosar on Dec 26, 2011 8:41 PM EST up reply actions
Yeah, well honestly the first jersey I wanted was Colt McCoy. I still do actually, but if the team ends up drafting another QB and abandoning McCoy like all the rest we’ve had then there’s no reason to waste the money. I still feel sorrow for all the people with Couch and Holcomb jerseys. IF we drafted RGIII, and IF I ever decided to buy his jersey it would be well into his 3rd season IF he’s capable of leading our team to victories.

I’m pretty sure no matter who they draft McCoy starts the season next year or at least gets a shot at it. I think he would be an incredible backup. He could stay on the team for 15 years and then transition into coaching.

How you liking San Diego?
Go to a Padre game. The park is awesome. And find a chick and take her to the SD Zoo. I had a lot of fun there.
by Brownie's Year on Dec 27, 2011 10:56 PM EST up reply actions
I’m waiting for the MLB schedule to come out to see if the Indians ever play out here against the Padres. I would still like to go to a game even if not because I enjoy watching baseball regardless. If I find a girl interested enough in baseball to go with me then I’d seriously have to consider keeping her around cause it’s not very often you see something like that with how much MLB has lost it’s popularity compared to years past.
And I’ve been to the zoo here already and it’s really nice, although it’s pretty comparable to the Columbus Zoo back home. It makes me wonder how crappy other zoos must be in America because I know those are two of the best in the country. It’s ridiculously over priced though, and luckily I get in free being in the Navy. Otherwise I probably wouldn’t go unless if it were a very special occasion.

by Brownsbacker488 on Dec 27, 2011 11:19 PM EST up reply actions
Hell yeah, tickets to that zoo is freaking expensive.
It’s a very small chance that the Indians come here for interleague. The A’s have only come once since I moved here. Just pick any game and go. The park is that nice. And most SD girls will go whether they like baseball or not. It’s more of an attraction than a game.
by Brownie's Year on Dec 27, 2011 11:38 PM EST up reply actions
If you say so. I just got to get out more instead of staying on the ship so often so I can actually meet one of these women. I’ve honestly never met a woman who would willingly go to a game aside from my sister and my ex who was already dating me for several years before she ever decided to go. And yeah, I have heard the Padres diamond is really nice too.

Although I decided to pick orange (to be different, I got it when I was 18) and it fits a little too big, I love my Dawson jersey. I’ve always wanted to have him sign it so I can frame it.

I went to Jo Ann Fabrics and got 3 yards of plain brown fleece and 3 yards of Browns Team pattern fleece, Me and my wife had a few beers, laid the two pieces on top of each other and cut 6" strips all along the edges of the material. You tie the strips together and end up with a fringe around the edges of a double layer blanket. Took about an hour and around $30. Makes for a cool looking, very warm feeling blanket. Gave it to my mom for Christmas.
What does that MEAN - TO PLAY US OUT?!!?!?
Those blankets are really warm. It sucks that the official NFL licensed fleece is crazy expensive for cloth.
Dawgs By Nature - Where winning, apparently, did some bad things.
Yeah, I was originally going to do Browns on one side and Cavs on the other – but the team material was more than double the cost of the plain stuff.
What does that MEAN - TO PLAY US OUT?!!?!?
Which means at a total cost of $30 the Browns fleece sold at retail value of >$20 and the plain material was <$10. Yeah I’m a dork, and I like math…

I’m speaking about his innate accuracy, not how well that innate accuracy is translating on the field.
Just take the two square sheets and cut fingers all across the edges to where it’s a frayed look, and them you tie each finger to the other sheet so it’s a double insulated blanket. One of my sister’s friends does it all the time. She made my sister a Bungles one. I think it was lost in our apartment fire a couple years ago. :o)
