We all know that the Browns are in need of a deep threat, pass catching receiver. Jerrel Jernigan is one of the more interesting prospects on the board. he is a receiver for Troy and is considered a good second round WR, why he is considered the third best prospect right now. He is 5-9 190 lbs, and runs a 40 of 4:35
Strengths:
- Blazing speed with tremendous hands
- Explosive after the catch
- Consistently catches the ball away from his body
- Great burst off the line, great burst in and out of his cuts
- Accelerates to full speed quickly
- Runs crisp routes
- Good leaping ability and body control, adjusts well to the ball in the air
- Willing to catch passes in traffic
- Elusive in the open field
- Can play outside or in the slot, and can contribute right away as a return man
- Can also line up in the backfield as either a running back or wildcat quarterback
Weaknesses:
- A little undersized
- May have trouble with physical corners in the NFL
- Although he's willing, he's not a good blocker because of his size.
