With the 47th pick in the 2011 Dawgs By Nature Community Mock Draft, the St. Louis Rams select...
Stephen Paea, DT, Oregon
This selection and write-up was made by Don'tByBrownsQBJerseys:
I knew I wanted to go DT with this pick. The Rams have some age on their line and their starters combined for about 26 sacks. Verdict: they need some size and youth up front. I also considered Marvin Austin and Drake Nevis, but the former just doesn't possess the athleticism the other two have, and latter is just too small to take here with Paea available. Paea provides the perfect combination of size and speed for a Rams team in desperate need.

Thanks for fixing my screw up, Pokorny.

I think this guy has long term stud potential and him and Rubin plugging the middle would be awesome. I would love for us to take him in the second after picking Jones or Green in the first. I would also like to get the LB from BC who had cancer 2 yrs ago at some point. He is proto-Browns LB and simply needs time to get his strength back. Working with Fujita will also be a big plus for him.

yeah I’m really hoping for Paea actually to the Browns. He luckily fell here. And I love the idea of that kid from BC, totally would risk a late round pick on him, 5-7, maybe one of our 2 6’s. And Fujita would be a great mentor for him, or anyone for that matter.

How in the world has Adrian Clayborn not been picked yet. No way he falls this far—-wierd messed up arm or not
No doubt, if we can get him in the second that would be a coup. I would much rather have Claiborn at DE in the second and one of the other top picks who is not Quinn or Bowers in the first. Personally I think this is not only safer, but I do not see Quinn or Bowers being as good as Clayborn, Heyward, Cam Jordan or any of the other supposedly second tier of DEs.
Definitely considered him, but the Rams have way more need on the interior than on the ends. Clayborn is someone I’m pulling for in the second for the Browns though, for sure. I’m not that worried about the arm that much.

I think we’ll do one more pick, the Raiders (since they did not have a first rounder), and call it a wrap. Don’t think everyone’s schedules would sync up enough to finish round two before the actual draft.
