Should the Browns trade back??
This might get a bad reception around here, but hear me out. I think with all the browns needs that are apparent, it wouldnt be such a bad idea to consider a trade back in the first round. If one or even both of the top receivers are available, knowing that some strong teams later in the first may be looking for some receiver help( i.e. New England,Atlanta,New Orleans), why not consider?
If i would have my way, i would talk to New England. I've heard rumors of them possibly looking to trade up, and if these ring true, they could be possibly be looking for a top notch young receiver to add since they got rid of moss( getting older and not as good anymore) and then brought back Deion Branch. I think Heckert could talk them into trading up and taking our #6 spot for their #17 and #28 in the first round. I think we could also weasel them out of their second second round pick.
If this could happen we could go for a DL like kerrigan( if he is still there) or J.J. Watt( if he is still there) and possibly getting another receiver at the end of the first, or another position(maybe cornerback or possibly OL). Then with our first of the second round we could take a receiver( Torrey Smith, Greg Little, or Titus Young) and towards the end of the round, pick up someone like Sam Acho. After that, we could look at players at linebacker, running back( i kind of like Taiwan Jones from Eastern Washington).
Please give me some feedback, I am not saying it will or could happen, but I think it could be something that could work in our favor. After all, if I remember correctly, the Patriots have 6 picks available in the top four rounds. Only losing two to get them a top flight receiver might just work in our favor. Remember, Justin Blackmon comes out next year and Alshon Jefferies might also be leaving early. Both of those guys are considered as top flight receivers, and if we don't get to the playoffs this year, we might have a good chance to land one of those guys next year also.

I agree on trading back, for there #17, though the #28 also? i don’t think so, though that #33 looks good and possibly weaseling out a third rounder too. Sounds odd but I dont see Bill willing to give that much two 1st rounders to trade up. Get the #17 and trade that to one of the last 6 teams for there 1st rounder and there 2nd. This should be our Wheel N deel year.
"They kept throwing it at me. I don’t know why. They just kept trying, and I just kept knocking it down." - Joe Hayden, Cleveland Browns.
This should be our wheel and deal year.
I absolutely agree it is, but with the Patriots not having to worry about too many holes and Bill being the guy that he is at finding good hidden talent, I think he could possibly go for it considering they have the extra picks and the fact that they may want someone like green or jones before someone else snatches them up. Atlanta might also be a player in this to give up a good chunk of picks since they want someone opposite of white, and they have ALOT of extra picks, but most of them are in later rounds though.

I would do this in a second but I don’t see the Pats making this deal. I doubt there is anyone they covet that much (is there really anyone the Pats ever covet?).
i think the pats would covet somebody with a history of toughness such as Julio Jones, and the fact that his production is as good as green. i wouldn’t say that we would also get their first second round pick, but i dont think it would be out of the question for them to trade off there second pick in the second round. what else do they have to lose, 2 draft picks extra draft picks total to go from the back end up to the front of the first round? it is all pure speculation that they would want to do this or who they would like to get up there before anyone else but maybe they would want to snatch up someone like fairley before some other teams. Someone like bill could shape up someone with so-so work ethic issues like people claim he has. And by the way, its a little off topic but how do you guys think my first post turned out?? didnt know if it was going to look right.

I think Houston is a real possibility of trading up with us if Peterson is on the board.
I would listen.
Andre Johnson and Brian Cushing. If not, no go.
If you haven't watched Inception, do it now. Right now.

Houston is a real possibility
if that were to happen, they would have to make an awfully sweet deal. thats why i would be so for going at the pats, extra picks and the ability to fill some much needed holes.

‘skins at #10 and Rams (Shurmur connections) at #14 are both interested in Julio Jones. As is Heckert. Promise to take him if they dont deal.
The #10 or #14 spot is reachable for Belichick to add a 2nd or 3rd round pick for. He may want to move up just enough to get ahead of their division rival, the dolphins, currently at #15. Both teams are “reportedly” interested in Ingram. (btw: The middle is a good place for the #1 RB to go).
While were at it, lets throw one more 1st round trade. The now 17th pick, for the Eagles’ 23rd. #3 CB should still be there at #17, but are they willing to risk waiting another 6 picks for him?
Rather than trade way back all at once and have to ‘weasel’ an extra 2-3 new picks from one deal, move back less, but more often and compile 3-7 new picks over 3 deals.
WOOf! WOOf!
ahhhh, the old mangini switcharoo?!!!!
