So, a lot of people (including myself) were clamoring for Heckert to draft Herz. Shows how good we are on the boards; we would've wasted a draft pick. Herz went through undrafted and now we need to wait till the lockout is over to go fishing in the UDFA pool.

My question is, is do we give him a try? The obvious answer is yes, why wouldn't you? Well, Herz has a lot of things going against him. He has cancerous concerns, one of his legs is weak and needs rods drilled into his bones to keep it together and apparently there are PED concerns with him (possibly due to his quick recovery). Herz was a monster before he got sick and I'd love for us to give him a try. Honestly, I'd rather just give him a roster spot. It's good PR and he could end up becoming the player he was supposed to a few years ago. I'm just worried if we were to take him, we'd PS him and he'd get grabbed.
