Starting OL
Hey all, I write for BGN (Eagles), and am working on a piece on the ages of offensive linemen. For the sake of being 100% accurate (and not totally trusting ESPN depth charts), I was hopping you guys could project your 5 starting offensive linemen for the 2011 season. Thanks!

LT: Thomas
LG: Steinbach
C: Mack
RG: Womack
RT: Pashos

LT, LG and C are each a sure thing. The right side is anyone’s guess.

Thanks, much appreciated.

And if you are wondering what we think of them:
Thomas is the best lineman in the league, Mack should be a pro bowler most years, Steinbach is somewhere between good and not horrible depending on who you ask, and the right side is passable to in dire need of free agents and/or high draft picks depending on who you ask.

The right side is fine as golan has it, but those guys don’t stay healthy, so it’s tough to count on that.

I would love to see us sign a RT who can pass protect better than St. Claire. He won’t have to run block very well or be a mammoth 330lbs, mostly because I expect us to use a lot of ZB runs. A lighter, quicker guy who is slightly worse than Pashos shouldn’t be too hard to find.

thats true, but we have okay depth right now. We could use a young-ish Free agent that can be a G/T (Sean Locklear mabye?), but the way it is is at least passable. I think Lauvao can be a good spot starter.

Intensive Purposes? I could care less...
your whole argument is a fallacy!
I’m not sure if Denver will ever deal with us again after we fleeced them for Hillis, but what about bringing in Ryan Harris? He looks to be a decent RT.
