Should Cribbs be a running back in the West Coast offense?
I came across a tweet for this article and I must say, I have not seen anyone talk about this angle for quite some time and it poses some interesting thoughts that makes me think Cribbs could be a better RB than WR.
Heck...the author even uses a comparison of Cribbs to Reggie Bush, which is really brilliant in my opinion.
What do you think?

It’s an interesting idea, and was an interesting read, as well as, I’m sure, a good debate topic; but I think his run after catch ability at WR could be a big assett within a ball control West Coast offense under a QB with Colt’s skillset, if they can get the ball in his hands more often of course.
I think the author really nailed it when he used the Reggie Bush comparison.
Sometimes Bush is a RB and sometimes a WR, but regardless Bush is most effective after the ball is in his hands.
Solid comparison and I don’t care whether its as a WR or RB, just get him the ball more and use him like Bush gets used in the Big Easy.
I agree seeing as how, outside of the return game, the MOST effective way Cribbs has been used in the past was in Wildcat and more or less as a RB.
It just makes sense to me.
It’s even simpler than that.
He isn’t a WR, to continue wasting time on that isn’t helping us at all. Cribbs’ best weapons are his vision and his ability to break tackles. The Browns should use him, much like the article notes, like a Reggie Bush. Give him 10 carries a game, throw him some quick screens and let him play BOTH ways on special teams.
It keeps Hillis and Hardesty fresher. It allows our best open field playmaker to get the ball in those type of situations, and it allows him to return to his role as the best two way ST player in the NFL.

I’ve always wanted to see what Cribbs can do with Vickers clearing the way for him.
(If all the nachos are stuck together, it only counts as one nacho.)
