Peter King: Browns to Go 8-8 During the 2011 Season

Stay connected for news and updates

Injuries? New offensive and defensive systems? Lack of proven depth at several positions? No worries.

The Cleveland Browns have received some positive feedback from several media personalities over the past couple of weeks, perhaps due to how good Colt McCoy played in the first two preseason games and the emergence of a guy like defensive tackle Phil Taylor.

The latest person to have a high opinion of the Browns? That would be Sports Illustrated's Peter King, who projects the team will finish 8-8 this year. King's and SI's full NFL preview will go on sale Wednesday, so be sure to check that out.

King's projection still puts the Browns in third place in the AFC North, behind the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Baltimore Ravens. King believes both of those teams will finish at 10-6 and make the playoffs. He thinks the Bengals will be the worst team in the NFL at 3-13.

King's Super Bowl features the Atlanta Falcons defeating the San Diego Chargers. He has the Chargers beating the Steelers and Ravens back-to-back to make it to the Super Bowl.
