Browns Reportedly Taking a Look at DT Marcus Harrison
According to Aaron Wilson of Scout.com (and Ravens Insider), the Cleveland Browns are still looking to bolster their depth at the defensive line position.
Former Chicago Bears defensive tackle Marcus Harrison visited the Browns, according to a league source with knowledge of the situation.
Harrison was originally a third-round pick in the 2008 draft by the Chicago Bears. He was with the Bears the past three seasons, but did not make the team's final roster this year. The Carolina Panthers quickly claimed him off waivers, but the transaction did not go through because he failed his physical with the team. Harrison started nine games during the 2009 season, but has been more of a reserve player during his career. That's no problem, because Harrison would only serve as depth behind starters Phil Taylor and Ahtyba Rubin in Cleveland. If I had to guess, the potential signing of Harrison could result in the waiving of defensive tackle Scott Paxson.

Harrison’s NFL experience makes him ineligible for the practice squad.

Find me a good FA RT that you didn’t just pull out of your ass

How about a G – might be a little easier. Damn Ravens found gold in Bryant McKinnie

Lol no they didn’t. He’s a fat, old man.
Pittsburgh is just jealous. We got Cudi and they have Wiz.

He is younger than Hicks – same age as Pashos. The Ravens kept him and cut Cousins. They win 35-7 – we look like Clowns – how much you want to bet he is more valuable than Cousins? They do not make many personnel goofs.

Who the hell said anything about Cousins?
The Ravens are made of fat, old people. They’re about to get a rude awakening in a few years.

They do look like they will lose two HoFers on defense in a few years and only have one up and coming star (Ngata). Suggs is a key if underrated piece of that defense too, but he’s only one player.
But they already lost one of the best OTs of all time and seem to still be pretty good at offense.

McKinnie’s issue was effort. He showed up at EP weighing over 400, and the Vikes cut him.
He goes to Baltimore and started getting in shape under Lewis and Reed. I doubt he would have done that here.

Cousins and Hicks each got owned at least once on Sunday in pass pro. Hicks got dominated twice. Neither looked like they knew 100% of what should have been going on.

Apparently there is no one worth a crap to look at for RT or S. I keep hearing about these positions we could potentially add to that we have decent depth in and nothing about the positions we need depth and stability in. It’s a shame when all we can be hyped up for is the Brad Maynard signing. I wish we could know without a doubt what H,H, & S are thinking.

Because anybody decent at those positions were signed during the Free Agency period. The time when the FO decided we didn’t need to add anybody who is decent or even, heaven forbid, good.
And no I’m not counting Young in either the good or decent category.

Why are people still mad about the Browns being quiet in free agency? They straight up said that they were going to be quiet in free agency.
Maybe he doesn’t smokesceen. However some of us thought (hoped?) it was a smokesceen because we felt that the Browns did, in fact, really need to sign some good Free Agents.

I have been waiting since “The Fumble” for a team to be put on the field that had a chance of going to the Super Bowl and not just ti sniff the playoffs. I am not including that 10-6 team when we caught everyone by surprise and almost snuck in. It has become discouraging. As a true and loyal Browns fans I have watched rebuild after rebuild only to see them fall flat on their face. I expected us to focus on positions that we were slim at yet we continue to rely on career backups on the field. I know it is a time thing and we have to be patient but enough already. What is the plan here? I will continue to support this team as I have since the Brian Sipe days, but decision making is skeptical at best here and Cleveland fans are hungry for a winner.
