I could be wrong, but I believe he stepped over the line of political correctness a few too many times. If I recall correctly there were a few threads a couple of months ago where there were some OT discussions and it almost seemed like he was spoiling for a fight with the moderators by pushing the (DBN) limits of tolerable political controversy.

He was in the official league. He dropped out voluntarily right before the draft this year I think. He played pretty well last year.

he is having a rough going this year, though he could see a resurgence if Roy Helu gets serious touches. His bench was filled with upside rookie RBs and the injury bug hit him hard.

It wasn’t anything big. He got pissed whenever something of his would get hidden. He would then complain all over the board about. We gave him a lot of warnings. Whenever he got warned he would go on a mini-spree of purposefully breaking rules. What finally did it was after one such warning he spammed the site with profanity and posts mocking the moderators. We decided that enough was enough, either the rules applied to everyone or they didn’t.

We didn’t want to ban him. He had been around a long time (longer than me I think) and most of us found him funny. But this was shortly after we had cracked down on a couple other posters, and it just wouldn’t be fair to apply the rules differently to different people.

maybe we should have an unbanning period to give banned people a chance again and if they screw it up, they’re out for good. i know i woulda loved a chance like that on a couple of my other boards.

Make it supervised or unsupervised depending on the offense and the person’s overall record. Mods would be assigned to only the most egregious offenders.

And as part of their rehabilitative/ community service, they could be required to post a designated number of high quality fan shots and/or fan posts.
