Divisional Playoffs: Denver Broncos vs. New England Patriots
Can Tim Tebow and the Denver Broncos do it again? After stunning the Pittsburgh Steelers last week, the Broncos could fall back to reality this week. They had a lot of things in their favor against Pittsburgh (several defensive players out, poor gameplan, being in Denver despite having a worse record, etc), but they won't have those things in their favor against New England. Tom Brady will have no problems beating Denver's defense through the air, and the Patriots are going to force the Broncos to run the ball until they make a mistake. Patriots win by a couple of possessions, just like the last time these two teams met.

If the Pats go up by more than 14 pts, I’ll turn this off until the 4th Qtr.

I’m torn. I don’t like Brady or the Pats. But the Broncos… the drive… idk.

Elways deep down hates Tebow and Bellichick was a terrible coach when he was here (then some how figures out how to coach, gets good players and wins superbowls). I have no problem cheering for today Denver Broncos errr Tebows.

Mostly. And that he didn’t have Eric Metcalf to run up the middle.
by kingcrimson2 on Jan 14, 2012 8:45 PM EST up reply actions
Even as someone who was around for the Drive, I don’t really have a lot of hatred for the Broncos. John Elway is a douche, but that’s about as far as it goes for me. I try to reserve my bitter hatred for the Squealers.

Simms still sour Tebow turned him down and he had to go to Big Ben last week for a bj.

New England’s strong blocking sets up everything else for them. Time. Dont tell me Colt couldnt work with 5-7 seconds consistently.
I live for Christ the KING.
No one gets 5 seconds consistently. Few get it ever. No one gets seven seconds ever.

mmmm. I just watched Drew Brees file his nails while downloading an iphone app back there. 5 seconds happens. Regardless, my point was that Brady is getting plenty of time – which sets up everything they do with Gronk.
I live for Christ the KING.
5 seconds happens, just rarely. Seriously, it feels like a long time, but you should actually count the seconds.

This is the offense you get with Tebow. Option crap.
That’s why you can’t go forward with him as a QB. You have to play NCAA level offense which may work against half-injured teams like shittsburgh and Chicago, but not in the playoffs against the best teams in the league.

Look at the zip from Brady’s balls. I’m convinced we won’t be successful until we get a QB that can throw with an NFL level arm

I get the impression that Elway doesn’t want Tebow as the long term QB.
Clemson Tigers 2011 ACC Champions
Worth giving up a run at the SB? Unless it was sarcasm that I missed, in which case, my bad.
"The tragedy of life is not that man loses, but that he almost wins."
Point taken about Super Bowl, but if they want a new QB, how do you justify that if you get to the Super Bowl with Tebow?
Clemson Tigers 2011 ACC Champions
If you get to the SB with Tebow you don’t need to justify that.
"The tragedy of life is not that man loses, but that he almost wins."
So maybe thrilled was the wrong word. But I don’t think Elway wanted Tebow long term. (Obviously I’m not in the FO, but it’s a vibe I get.) This is the out for them; that’s all I’m saying.
Clemson Tigers 2011 ACC Champions
I don’t think they can do that at this point. The entire offense is built around Tebow now.

The dropped passes and nonexistent defense don’t help either.

His balls are wobbly turds. You can’t blame the WRs for dropping those horribly thrown balls

But the replay on that throw towards the end zone was a wounded duck.

If Tebow can change his throws from throwing like a 3 year old girl to throwing like a 6 year old girl, I’m sure McCoy can work to try and fix that.

I’m actually kinda glad Brady killed them instead of making it look good. Clearly the pats have something to prove.

I know I’ll get blasted for this, but I don’t mind if the Ravens win today for one simple reason: Texans fans were the worst of any I dealt with this season on SBN aside from Steelers fans. So a Ravens win, floowed by them getting their asses handed to them in NE next week would be okay with me.

I totally understand. I kind of cheered for the Texans before because they were stuck always behind the Colts, but after hearing some of their fans, I don’t want them back in playoffs again.
